Kiddieland bites the dust!

Kiddieland Amusement Park in Chicago has announced that it will be closing its doors after 80 years of operation.

The park is chock full of classic kids rides which are to be sold off in September after the park closes its doors for the last time.

So if you want to see a slice of history before it vanishes forever, get to Chicago this summer.

Aw that's such a shame, and though I didn't really know this park even existed, it looks like it was one of those parks that would be a nice day out for the whole family.

I'm guessing it was due to insufficient income, right?

Closing down over a feud? That sucks, and yeah I guess it would be pretty upsetting for the older generations who spent a lot of their childhood there.

So many parks are closing down. It's like the great depression all over again.

Wow check out the last paragraph of the news article - it says $20 or whatever to get into Kiddieland is a bargain compared to $54.99 to get into SFGA. I aint been to america, so I don't know how good the rides are, but I'd imagine thats like saying these snack sausages cost me £1.50, and I had a 3 course meal at this fancy restaurant for £50, so these snack sausages are a bargain!

It's not the same thing...
