Perhaps posting the picture would help us?

You can't until you have a post count of three...

It's likely to be the Bobs at Belle Vue, allegedly one of the greatest wooden coasters in the world ever - but Boulder Dash hadn't been built then and Intamin didn't exist.

It was in Manchester, and there's lots of material about Belle Vue out there (probably the first park I ever went to , but it closed when I was five).

Troy at Toverland is a spiritual successor to the Belle Vue Bobs (and other Fred Church Bobs rides - I think he built three?) - it's as close as you'll ever get to seeing what a classic coaster would be like if it was built today with modern technology.

If it is the Belle Vue Bobs, then I recommend looking into the place and rides, fascinating lost gem...

So while we are waiting for your post count to go up so you can post the photo:

1. Where is your family from?

2. What are the nearby parks?

Tons of old wooden coasters were named "Bobs" and "Cyclone", so any info can help us cut down potential coasters. :)
