Hose pipes at Parque de Atracciones

I only really noticed them on Abismo and Tornado, other rides could have had them but I wasn't really paying attention. What on earth are they for?

Are they not the air ones? As opposed to water based hose pipes?

Think similar to the Fabbri Boosters? Spinning Mouse's have them too. Just a thought. I'd actually like to know the answer too...

It's possible that if the ride has pneumatic systems, they could be spare hoses. I wouldn't have a clue why they'd be laying out in the open though. They could also be a water hose for washing the trains after somebody throws up.

Abismo had 6, so one for each row, and Tornado had tons too. They looked like they were connected to water pipes, well they had taps on them anyway.

Think similar to the Fabbri Boosters? Spinning Mouse's have them too.

The Booster one is to do with compressed air, but the Spinners are actually electric plugs.

I think they may be water misters to help cool the wheels down ;)

Nope. Those pipes are there to fill dummies with water.

The ones on Tornado are really important because the train has to carry at least the equivalent weight of 20 riders to make it around the track...

Thanks! If I were PdA, I'd send the bloody water bill to Intamin! Filling up 20 dummies EVERYDAY, what a pain in the arse!

...But why on Abismo? There aren't really any slow points where it could stall... (unless the train needs to weight to reach the height for when latches back onto the chain, to bring it back down?)

I guess they are there just for testing purposes...

Anyway, the design flop on Tornado is the reason why PdA has never and never will run both trains on Tornado. Even if there's a 3-hour line for it... Such a shame, but PdA got the very first inverted coaster prototype from Intamin and it went tits up...
