Hey all,

I have been batting around with numbers today at work, and had it occur to me - I have never known the horsepower rating on lift hill motors? Specifically, for the interest of calculating energy usage during one train lift operation.

Does anyone know of good resources/information on lift hill technical information?

I can find out for you as our cutting machines at work have the same motors as the lift hill, look up ETF and there is info on their ride systems.

I am waiting on information from them for Furie as they actually make a lot of ride systems for other companies.

For the motors I will go and have a look tomorrow as they will say on them. I don't actually think it will be a high figure tbh, your probably only looking at about 10.

I'm not sure about the lift hill motors, but the Intamin hydraulic launches on KK and TTD generate an equivalent of like 20,000 horsepower.
