Hopi Hari, Brazil | Unknown | Intamin 10 inversion

Originally rumoured to be going for the record with 11 (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=32415), it looks as though Hopi Hari have instead settled for the standard 10 inversion Colossus Clone for their next big coaster. This is at least the 3rd one of these currently under construction around the globe.

How is it that they have opted for the 10 inversion model? Cost perhaps?

Also how is it that this model appears to have got popular all of a sudden? They have sold 2 in the last 10 years, now, out of nowhere, there`s 3 under construction.

Most likely because it was unnecessary to go for the 12 inversion model.

As there was absolutely no mention of 10 inversions in that thread, and as construction is definitely under way, I thought it would be misleading to continue that one, and would be better to start afresh (ensuring that the original was referenced for those who took an interest in the history of this project)

Looks like this one, along with the others that opens in 2013, will be Intamin's first lap bar only inverting coasters.

Is it definitely confirmed as having lapbars, because it could have a similar resrtraint to what's on the Zacspin's;

Looking at those restraints compared to Zacspin's, I don't think they're the same. Froma profile view, they're closer to Skyrush's.

It will be interesting to see if the new LSM coaster in Vialand will also get these.

I swear that's the 12 inversion layout from Intamin's website...
