Harry Potter World Map

Looks interesting, but, maybe I'm missing something, there seems to be just the addition of a map and couple of new images in the Gallery.

Looks like it'll be pretty good when it opens though, at least it does if your into HP.
 
I dont know what was on the site before as I never looked tbh. But the map is new and it has the locations of the rides.

Just looks like one new ride and a load of shops, 2 rides are just getting a re theme.

As I said I could not click on things as it said page is blocked, thats the webcast part.
 
Ah, that's what I was confused by, I tried clicking on the map, and it produced no result. I didn't click the web cast though
 
Just watched the webcast. To be honest it's nothing special, just a really drawn out description of what everyone already knows about the project. I think a few new concept art images were also released.

It does look good and it's great that the people behind the films are helping Universal create a working replica of the Potter World. Oh they also announced that it will be open Spring 2010. It annoyed me that they had some massive build up to something which everyone speculated about anyway.
 
^Without really following the development of the Harry Potter thing, or visiting the park, I'd assume it's a retheme of Duelling Dragons.
 
Its not alot new really, although now we know the name of the actual main ride; Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey..

As for Dueling Dragons being renamed Dragon Challenge.. well.. surely they could have come up with a much catchier name? Rubbish.
 
This area is not about rides though, its about the experience of walking through the world of Harry Potter.

Maybe more rides will be added who knows, but the new ride going in is a first and should be good. DD needed a re theme, as all that was themed was the station and it did not fit anything else in the park. It was just there with no movie or anything, but there is more to that anyway.

I think it all looks good and puts to shame a lot of what most parks call theming :)

Flight of the Hippogriff, yes.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, yes please.

Everything else looks quite cool. Can't wait!
 
After looking at the map, I'm wondering how much of The Lost Continent is going to be left. :?

^ I don't think any of it will be left. The signature ride is going to be in Harry Potter Land, last time I went there was a bull dozer in front of Poseidon's Fury and it was closed, probably not to open again, and all that would be left is, like, a few shops or something.
 
^ I have to think that they'd at least keep Mythos and Sindbad (although I'm surprised there's even a possibility that they'd take out Poseidon's Fury) along with whatever is around them. But if not... Lame.
