Grona lund - 1 and 2 aug

Strata Poster
firstly - the cheap stockhokn hotel recommendation, the comfort hotel - it's right next to the bus and train stations, so a 15 min walk and 115 min tram journey to grona - rooms were fairly small, but clean and had nice shower rooms, WIFI included, as was brekkies, another nice touch was free coffee in the reception - all for less than 40 quid.

now the park - I thought blackpool PB had made a good job of cramming rides into a small space - but they seem to take it a bit further (as seen by twister/jetline and vilda musen all mingling with each other). In general the park has some very good thrill rides, but overall atmosphere was better at Liseberg. As with liseberg, there's a big thing about offering stupidly large chocolate bars as game prizes.

The coasters:

Twister - The main reason for my trip - has some nice airtime, and a great layout for such a small footprint. Have to say I prefer Troy and Balder though. Better in the front seat.

Jetline - Surprisingly intense - That second drop in particular - better than knightmare, and terrific throughput.

Insane - Wasn't sure whether I'd like this or not, but it's short enough that it doesn't make you wanna puke, and as the name suggests it's rather insane! Everyone seems to come off with a big grin on their face (no sniggering..). If you get the weight on the front seats, you get extra spinnyness! Got lost finding the exit!

Kvasten - a nice family friendly coaster.

Vilda musen - Probably the highlight of the trip - have enjoyed gerstlauer bobsleds before - but this one has a great layout - lovely twists and bunny hops a plently! Also appears to have the narrowest queueline I've ever seen! Definitely only wide enough for one, and not quite enough room for your arms by your side.

didn't do the kiddy coasters

other rides:

Bla taget - a pretty decent ghost train

Spokhuset - a ghosty walkthrough - a few live actors inside - 40 kr extra. - Better than blackpools passaje, but not as good as madrid parques versions

Extreme - a topscan, but on quite a short program - My keys fell out of my pocket, but fortunately were handed in, my USB stick didn't survive though!!

free fall - a 3 sided intamin drop tower - 2 seated sides, and one stand up with tilt side - the seated sides actually gave a better ride sensation IMO - and were VERY good - better than apocalypse - probably the best drop tower I've been on.

Katapult - S&S combo tower - seems strange to have a combo tower as well as a drop tower, but hey ho.. better than cliff hanger

Tunnel of love - yes I was sad enough to ride this on my own! More like tunnel of coma...

The never ending funhouse of awesome - Seemed to be never ending, and was indeed awesome! Starts with one of those uppy downy staircase things, and ends with a nice wooden slide! There's a "viewing area" of the uppy downy staircase thing so people can see if you make a twerp of yourself!

It was a nice little read as it brings back good memories and I agree with pretty much everything you have wrote. The wild mouse was actually brilliant and I forgot about the really tight queue haha. Did you not get any photos?

Oh I know there are pics online and I have my own pictures too but I thought I would ask just incase you had some different shots :)
