Girls trapped upside down on Chinese fairground ride

I saw this on BBC Breakfast this morning - they had video footage of the rescue. They appeared to get them down in a cherry-picker thing. For what its worth, I don't think anyone was injured. I can't see any of the photos because I'm at work, but I think it was one of these rides where Ben and Jake said they'd not ridden because the whole thing looked like a complete death-trap, but that every park had one.

Which brings me to where is the track? It's supposed to be a complete circle but you can tell part of it's missing on that one.

Have they removed it for the rescue effort? Seems a bit odd seeing as the people on the forklift are nowhere near where that part of it would be.
 
^ That's what I was thinking! They've defo taken part of it out.

Or perhaps a section of the 'track' fell off and they e-stopped it, wouldn't put it past China...

It looks like they may have taken it out to get the cherry picker up or somethin, weird but still, and it does look ghetto i certainly wouldnt touch it...
