Get 30% off at Lightwater Valley this season....

But you have to have a Smart Phone to get this deal. You will need to download a application called FourSquare. It is a bit like the Facebook check in scheme, but you compete against the world scoring 'points'. Whenever you check in to Lightwater Valley you will receive entrance for £14.95 for 2 people.

There are other offers available on Foursquare like at Dominoes Pizza, if you are the 'mayor' (most checked in) you get a free small pizza of your choice every Wednesday.

That's pretty good!

The iPhone app is free so will certainly be doing that when we visit in September...unless I can find any other vouchers!

Not that I wouldn't be willing to pay full whack for the Ultimate alone, but who doesn't want to save money?

A couple fo interesting tweets from Lightwater Valley (@LightwaterV) tonight.

The Harrogate Advertiser is always a safe bet for vouchers, probably on the 8th and 22nd April!
Anybody live near/in Harrogate who could pick me up a copy?

Also, they tweeted this (from their Facebook)...
Our aim is to be the most customer friendly park in the UK, putting value for money and the overall guest experience at the centre of everything we do. As such, we promise to always listen to what you guys have to say and will always try our best to act on your feedback.

I really like their genuine leaning towards decent customer service atm The less corporate, unassuming parks tend to be an incredibly enjoyable day out.

After a few seasons of seemingly having no direction or masterplan imo, it appears they've got one now. And I like it. Very much so. I hope the park can reveal it's full potential now.

They've got a long way to go yet though.

For me there's a major lack of rides that you want to re-ride again and again, the food is vile and its pretty expensive (£22).

Lovely setting though, and it definitely has the potential, but will it be reached?

Gaaaah, what about the people without the smart-phones?!

^Me, who thinks I could probably spend the X hundred pounds on something more 'useful'. I guess it's because I have no need for a phone that does all this stuff, but still.

Mind you, I am a pleb though. :P
