What's new

From the biggest to smallest.

This is for me is genius design. This is a recent MA graduate who has designed a folding 3 pin plug for use with laptops and more. The UK uses the largest three pin plug, this graduate has overcome this:

That's genius!

Brilliant idea, I can see this thing taking off.

It is a bit of design brilliance... but can they get the big AC adapter (that the plugs are usually connected to) to fold fat as well though?

A good point, but a lot of power supplies are getting smaller. Some of the power supplies for the little Dell Latitude laptops are becoming very managable!

I'm all for it!

My laptop bag has become simply unbearable with a normal three pin plug in it, I must have one of these leads, right away.

There was a folding plug in Maplin today. MAPLIN. It just folded ever so slightly differently.

Us yanks don't have such problems (as shown in the photo Martyn posted). :p

LOL! It's an electrical plug Taylor. It plugs into an electrical outlet to supply power to an electrical device (hint - the plugs in the UK are different than ours). What makes it cool is that it folds up & multiples can be used on a single outlet with the adapter. Did you even click on the link & check out the photos before posting that question?

^Because our plugs are unwieldy and annoying. For example, a Macbook Air is kinda pointless if you've got to have a ****ing huge plug.

I don't see what part of it doesn't make sense...

You've clearly not seen the power supplies for the larger lattitudes then. They're the size of my head.

I think the best thing about this is the multi-plug socket thing that goes with it! Talk about space saving.

^ Nah, I just looked at the picture. I knew it was a plug, but I didn't get the point of a foldable plug :p .

I agree.

When I want to plug something in, I don't want to be faffing around with having to rearrange how the plug looks like.
Sure it could save a bit of space instead of using one of those multiple-plugs-in-one thing (don't know what they're called), but I've never really found them a burning problem in my life anyway.

Meh. =/
