Frisbee flat ride accident in China injures 19

A flat ride called the UFO broke and apparently threw at least 10 to 19 riders in the process. Visually the ride looks kind of like a Huss Super Frisbee, but I've been assured that this is a Chinese knock-off of that ride style, which has taken things a step further by adding a counter-weight to the other end so it can flip upside down as well.

Nineteen people were injured in a carnival ride accident at a temple fair in Xinxiang, Henan province, on Monday afternoon, China Central Television reported.
The revolving arm of the attraction called the Flying Saucer suddenly parted from the supporting pillar as it was swinging passengers in the air and fell to the ground.
One person suffered serious bone fractures and 18 other suffered minor injuries.
Photos posted by witnesses on social media showed the arm on the ground, with passengers still strapped in their seats, attracting a large crowd of onlookers.
Police have arrested the person in charge of the attractions.

Oh geez. I can't imagine the leg pain...

Not massively surprised if it's a knock-off. Pictures look surreal
 
I think he means 'no one died', at least I hope, or he clearly just saw "accident" and put the usual obligatory CF comment :lol: .
