Fave bond film

I've seen most, but not all of them. It's tough to pick a single favorite so I'll just do what all CF-ers love to do: make a top 5!

Goldfinger
The Living Daylights
Casino Royale (Craig)
Goldeneye
From Russia With Love

... Sorry Roger Moore. Too much schtick I guess. And George Lazenby, everyone forgets about you anyway.

I've probably seen them all, but so many of them so long ago I just can't remember them properly. Also, a lot were when I was young, so I probably didn't have a great deal of idea when it came to if it was actually "good" or not.

Always enjoyed them though until Brosnan... Actually, License to Kill was abysmal, but The Living Daylights I really enjoyed (Blackpool, 6:30 p.m. showing).

Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me are my favourite Moore films. Live and Let Die has a darker edge that Moore jars with, but it's still a great film. The Spy Who Loved me is all about the Lotus Esprit :)

For Your Eyes Only was the first one I saw at the cinema and I remember being disappointed about the Lotus blowing up, but enjoyed the 2CV chase. The rest of the film was really bland though and I can't remember anything more about it.

Octopussy was nothingy and View to a Kill was utter pants. I love Grace Jones, but she was dreadful, and the obvious cable dragging the car into the water is one of the lowlights of anything Bond.

All the Connery films merge into one for me, they're the ones I've seen least since I was young, but I remember enjoying them all a lot. Nothing negative ever stood out for me on his films. I think they're the most iconic of the series - must watch them all again.

GoldenEye I couldn't even tell you if I've seen it. Possibly, I just really can't remember.

Tomorrow Never Dies I saw on the TV from about halfway through and realised it's a dreadful film so never watched it all. It's so badly put together it's shameful. I actually, physically couldn't watch it.

The World is Not Enough I saw at the cinema (Tamworth, 7:30) and enjoyed, but on a rewatch, it wasn't great. It's one of those poor to middling Bond films.

Die Another Day is just abysmal. I know I've seen it, but I couldn't tell you where or when, I've just tried to blot it from my mind.

Casino Royale I saw in Stafford cinema (8:05) and I did enjoy it, but subsequent viewing has left me cold to the film. It's just not a very interesting film to watch multiple times. It's okay, and I like Craig as Bond, but it's just nothing special either. I guess it could have been any other thriller, it just wasn't "Bond" enough (unlike the Brosnan stuff which had gone too far the other way).

Quantum of Solace was dull. It was just a really bland film. There's nothing stand out about the film at all (it's all perfectly 'adequate'). It just went from place to place, scene to scene with no real direction or character depth or tension or anything. You just didn't care anything about anyone on that screen at any point. Title track was the best Bond Theme ever though [/got to love Jack White]

Skyfall I'm determined to see at the cinema if my back lets up enough :)

So in conclusion, I really enjoy watching Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved me for their "cheesy Bondness with iconic moments", but it's got to be one of the Connery films that is my favourite. I think Dr No is actually a cracking film from what I remember and the others (Goldfinger particularly) really set up what Bond is and did it well. I'll have to watch them and give an actual film

Goldfinger
The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only
The Living Daylights
The World Is Not Enough
Casino Royal
Skyfall
My favourites are The Living Daylights and The Spy Who Loved Me, my less than favourites are above it's hard to pick one!

GoldenEye is by far the best. Xenia Onatopp <3

And then Skyfall.

I've seen them all. Like a boss.

I've seen all 23 official Bond films many times. I'm really not a fan of Craig's first two, especially on repeat viewings, they're just boring. I do agree with Furie about QoS's theme song by Jack White, that is pretty awesome. Skyfall is an interesting one, it is amazing, it has all the elements of a good Bond film (minus cool gadgets) but I think it can be too self-referencing to the older films which in my opinion causes really odd plotholes. I know it's the 50th anniversary etc but you didn't see them do that for Die Another Day (scary to know that it's now 10 years old).

I love the Brosnan films, even Die Another Day. I agree that they may have gone a little far but they were a joy to watch. They all had pretty good theme songs and brilliant action sequences. Goldeneye's tank chase sequence is so iconic <3

I never used to like the Dalton ones but then I watched the Living Daylights at a BFI IMAX all nighter a couple years ago and just fell in love with it. It's a shame he didn't get to do more.

I liked Moore as Bond, he was funny but could also pull off looking like he knew what he was on about. I still think his first film, Live and let die is one of the best Bond films of them all. He also goes up against the best villainous henchmen out them all - Jaws.

I re-watched the Lazenby film the other night. After reading the book last year I was surprised how true to the book it actually is. It's a bit awkward when he refers to 'the other guy' but apart from that it's pretty good. I think it might actually be one of the best Bond films (despite the awful film making in general).

I do like the Connery films too, Goldfinger definitely being the highlight. Unforuntately I'm really bad at dealing with awfulness in old films (bad editing / lip-syncing etc) because it's my job. Therefore I do find it hard to watch them - not even the blu-ray remastering could completely fix them.

So yeah, I don't do favourites. Mainly because my opinion changes too often and because I generally love most of them. But above is my generalised opinion on all 6 Bonds :P

I really like license to kill, watched it the other night again. No one ever seems to remember it.

I also like the living daylights, really need to see it again.

That's because it's **** ;)

I know I've seen most, if not all, of them over the years, but since that goes back to when I was a kid they all, apart from the more recent ones, tend to merge into one for me.

One that stands out though is Live and Let Die. I saw that a few times as a kid. I haven't seen it for years, but it's probably the only Bond film I've watched more than once I think.

Never been the biggest Bond fan but Skyall...Amazaballs :)

It had witty humour. Had a lot of heart between Bond and M. Had a awesome car scene (won't ruin it). Funny, badass villian, Silva. Loads of action and clever dialouge. Suspense especially the London court scene and final battle at Skyfall. Had an incredible themesong (which I keep listening too).

This and The Dark Knight Rises, got to be two of my faviourte films. Lol sorry Avengers.
