So, here's the trip report of my 2-day Europa Park visit... All I can say is that it is an awesome park, with great rides(yes, even silver star was awesome), awesome staff and unbelievable restaurants.
14th June, 2011
5:10(local) - Arrival at the airport for my flight to Stuttgart... Only to find that it was delayed by 1hr 50 minutes...
9:15 - Takeoff
10:35(stuttgart time) - Arrival
11:45 - After a delay of more than 1 hour in the terminal we finally got our car from Sixt and started driving
After going from Stuttgart to Rust and passing by about 20 highway construction sites...
Silver Star spotted
At this point I got really excited, but also a bit scared after realising that I am 6 km away from the park at yet Silver Star is that big...
However we arrived at our hotel, and 30 mins later we were in the park.
Once again passing by Silver Star.. At this point I was like"Ok, I'll leave it for tomorrow".
I don't know why, but i did not feel like riding it, so we just went over to..
First stop: Blue Fire
Definetely the best ride in the whole park, it will be sad that the woodie will pass over some part in it... it just looks way too awesome the way it is now.
Also I need to mention that it was the first time I reached 100km/h and 40 meters on a rollercoaster.
So...The Experience
I'm only gonna describe the first ride... So, during the 15 min queue I was excited, having watched millions of POVs of it, but as soon as the train left the station I felt a weird...something at my legs....
Reaching the launch.... the alarm was on for like 7-8 seconds before we were launched, and the launch is just the beginning.. The little airtime at the top of the...part after the launch was nice, then the loop was great, overbank and MCBR. Then trough the THR, airtime hill, and the inline twist, which just ejects you out of the seat, and you feel your legs are behind the rest of your body, intense and awesome.
Blue Fire: 10/10
Then we went to Atlantica SuperSplash, Alpen Express and the log flume. All of them were awesome, you'll see how I rated them at the end.
Next stop: Some spanish restaurant, where we ate a kick-ass Buritto.. Still just thinking of it makes me hungry.
Then we went over to Poseidon and the Euro Tower.
Still haunting me...
And.... Day Over, back to the hotel and excited about tomorrow!
15th June, 2011
09:00 - In the park, first stops Poseidon and Pegasus.
Note: I rode pegasus in the back, and did not expect much, but the first drop was kinda awesome
Then... Over to Silver Star
The Experience
Queued for about 20 minutes before getting on it. Rode the first time from row 4, and I have to say that i loved it. Going up the lift hill is strange as it is rather fast, and once u get at the top of the lift it becomes interesting. The hills had some airtime which was nice, the trims were noticable but nob bad at all, the helix was nice and the S curve was quick, suprised by how much speed you get after that last hill and in the S Curve. Overall the experience was awesome, but not better than Blue Fire.
Silver Star:9.5/10
Then we rode the Bobsled, the wild mouse(which was kinda good), Blue Fire 3 more times in the Single Rider Queue, Silver Star 2 more times(actually it was the last train that ran that day, and when we got in the station everyone started yelling"one more time" but they did not let us
), and in the meantime just randomly rode alpen express again, Euro Mir and Euro Sat.
So now I'll just post my ride count and points for each ride, and then I'll leave you with some closing photos
So, overall, I've spent an awesome time at Europa Park and can't wait to return!
Some photos from the airport now
And some of the things that I bought troughout the trip
Hope you liked it.
