Only a few days away now :D

So today, Fabrice Muamba retired, and Arsenal have a agreed a £24m fee for Robin van Persie from Man Utd - considering the outrageous fees that players are sold for nowadays, I think thats quite a bargain.
 
Not a chance, we've mugged United off something rotten there. Only had one stand out season and several injury disrupted ones. 30, likely to be his last contract, and in his last year with us.
 
Praying that Pompey are liquidated, not because I give a ****, but because I want to see the reaction of my family, closest friends and colleagues who proclaim to hate Pompey.
 
These topics always seem to die a slow death as the season progresses, but I couldn't start a new season without them! :)

As usual, I'll be cheering on MK Dons. I really do hope that this year we can FINALLLY secure automatic promotion to the Championship. Too many years on the trot fighting for promotion from the play-offs and we really do have the potential to get into the auto spots.

There's not as many "strong" teams in League One this year whom it is almost expected for them to get promotion, so the Dons should have a bit of an easier ride and hopefully stay near the top.

We shall see...
 
I`m looking forward to an interesting season with Watford, we've got new owners in charge now, the Pozzo family who also own Undinese and Granada, they have sent a load of their crappy players to us, who hopefully should do well in The Championship, along with our new boss Gianfranco Zola.
Allt his probably means nothing and I should imagine it will be another season of mid-table mediocrity for the hornets.
 
Hopefully my team Cambridge United will get promoted back into the football league this season, they have made a good start.
 
Stupidly confident for this season. Squad overhaul. Up the **** boro.

On iPhone at the moment will post my excitement fully about the new season tomorrow!
 
Anyone setting up a fantasy league this year then? I think it was Lewis that did it last year

Obviously I let somebody else win last year for a change. I'd like to pretend it was my fair play spirit shining through but actually I got married in April so I dropped the fantasy ball a little. No life changing events this year though so get ready for a beating! (if we can have a code - someone??).
 
We did a Football Manager and signed 10 players in one day, ha! Oh and I've slowly realised our manager must be the 'hardest' manager out there!

What an awful night for the England teams! :(

Alright, not so awful for the main team, but it was a bit of a joke really. Firstly keeping the roof open, then not shutting when it started raining, then it being unable to close due to the rain. No pitch inspection until 40mins before kick off, despite heavy rain 3 hours prior. Absolutely no attempt to help drain the pitch, stupid pitch inspections which were clearly pointless, and not announcing anything to the poor fans in the stadium.

And as for the Serbian team attacking the England U21's, well..... :roll:
 
I don't think he'll leave. Not in this window anyway. Chelsea are in the **** and the fans make it clear week in week out what they think about this whole farce. Frank also makes his point every game.

Big, no HUGE, game for boro tonight away to Leicester which could see us either go 2nd or switch from contending for automatic promotion to competing to stay in the playoffs. We always miss our chances to capitalise such as last week :-(
 
Well we've royally screwed ourselves this season.

I'm genuinely angry about the firing of Adkins. Embarrassed to be a Saints fan today :(

It's rather disgusting the way he's been treated, he had a brilliant position, had some great youngsters coming through. But Cortese has spoken!
 
Right man, they need stability. Mourinho would have wanted another new challenge three years later and they'd be back at square one.

Reasons I've been quiet in this topic? 12 points out of a possible 60 in the second half of the season. **** great.
 
Being a Norwich fan, I was over the moon with Swansea beating Wigan on Tuesday, never saw that coming, and it puts things back in our own hands. Draw agains't WBA on Sunday and that *should* be enough.

Shocked to see Wolves drop into League 1, too.

Me too - we were looking well safe before xmas too!

Gotta say - the fa cup final, 2 weeks before the end of the season, and at 5:15 is the suxxors! It should be last game of the season, AND 3pm kick off, 'sjust tradition!
