Enclosed drop towers

T0M

Hyper Poster
Forgive my ignorance, but do such rides exist? I'm thinking ones that are encased by a structure and are therefore in complete darkness.

A good idea if they don't already exist? Or if they do, what are they like if anyone has been on one?

If you don't count Tower Of Terror, then I know there is one, it's like in a big Castle themed tower, I think it's called Mystery Castle.

Yeah, they do exist.

Mystery Castle at Phantasialand. Of course, one could also argue a case for the Tower of Terror rides, but, Mystery Castle is a "proper" one.

And then there's Extremis and the London Dungeons, but that's only about 10ft.

Forgive me, but the entrance fee and petrol costs to a UK theme park aren't going to compare to a flight, taxis, hotel and entry to one in Germany.

Gate price at Alton Towers: £38
Return transport and entrance to Plopsaland: £30

OK, so that's Belgium, not Germany... but you get the point.

Pre-booked park ticket £11
4 people in a car....
Ferry £29 (ie, £7.25 each)
Petrol £50ish (£12.50 each)
= £30.75
