Djurs Sommerland is probably one of the fastest evolving parks i Europe.
- We all now about Piraten. In 2011 the lovely themed Skatteøen greeted us, and not more than 1 and a half year after, we started seeing indicators for another big new addition.
The Mack Water Coaster was their biggest investment yet, so at first, I had a hard time believing that we'd already see another coaster. But then hundreds of footers began to shoot up in the park, and the rumors started to see the light.
After a lot of impatience from my side, they finally revealed what was going on behind the wooden walls in the park. Djurs Sommerland had announced that they'd built Denmark's longest roller coaster, with a length of 1000m, a design from Intamin and a lovely theme.
Fast forward 5 months, and we're approaching the park...
The park greeted us, along with about 20 others who had won a "first rider" competition in the local radio.
We hadn't won anything, but the park was awesome enough to invite us anyways.
We got this little envelope containing a free entrance pass, and even better, a free food pass!
Soon, we started walking towards the star of today.
It quickly became clear that Djurs' again has set the bar for theming in Denmark!
While they were getting ready, we observed just what we had in store, although only part of the coaster is visible to the viewers.
Finally!
The station looks brilliant as well!
Juvelen is running two sexy red trains!
Porn.
Juvelen is easily one of the best roller coasters in Denmark! - It did pack a good punch for a family coaster, and the theming was just excellent!
I will say that I was a bit concerned about the tire launch and how it would perform, and while the first launch has a bit of a weak acceleration, the second launch is really good, and surprisingly fast.
But really, this system fits the coaster just perfect!
Just the day before, we brought a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition, and to be honest I was a bit concerned about the outcome, but the final result quality was just really good!
Why don't you see for yourself?

Other people seem to like Juvelen as well.
Naked track.
Coming out of the first launch, and into a really smooth and enjoyable transition.
The CEO and staff of Djurs Sommerland was one of the main reasons that this was a great day!
Really, I am so grateful for the amazing hospitality we recieved!
We even got to get "Backstage"
- For some pretty amazing photo opportunities!
I was very impressed by how small some of the children on the coaster actually were! It was awesome to see that they enjoyed what I think actually is an extreme family coaster!
Why don't we end this report with an obligatory picture of me infront of the beauty!
