Yes and no for me. Radio obviously isn't what it was, but it is still a big part in the media. Video is definitely the biggest of the two, however they're used for different purposes.

I haven't got much to say about it, so over to you.

For what radio used to be, video did kill the radio star. I don't know of any radio shows that are broadcasted nightly anymore like they had back in the first half of the century. My grandpa used to listen to certain radio shows about cowboys and detectives and whatnot when he was a kid. Also, did any other president besides FDR use the radio to do something like Fireside Chats? We still use the radio to listen to music and occasionally listen to a sporting event if a TV is unavailable, but the TV is more popular.

I'll be honest though. If I'm going to listen to music, I'm going to turn on a radio instead of turning on the TV and listening to one of those music channels. It just seems more natural.

No. I listen to the radio as much as I watch TV, if not more. The BBC has some fantastic programming on the radio.

Yes.

Radio has it's place, but visuals are more important.

The way I look at it is this. If I had a choice between being blind or deaf, I'd rather be deaf.

Radio is fine for in the car, or as background while you're shopping/working or something.

The idea of just sitting and listening to it? I don't get it, I really don't.

According to the telly this morning, Oscar winning film composer Hans Zimmer was in The Buggles. And wrote the Going for Gold theme tune. I never knew that.

Oh, and yes. Yes it did.

I always preferred The Art of Noise...
