As a few CFers may know, I am currently applying for Film and Video Production at Uni for this September coming up. As virtually every CFer knows, I LOVE film, and film making is something I highly enjoy and wish to pursue into higher education.
So far, out of the 5 universities I have chosen, I have had 2 offers and 2 interviews with one rejection. For my portfolio to accompany the interviews, I have to make a short film under 5 minutes long - it just so happens that my Film Studies coursework also requires me to make a film under 5 minutes long too.
So, in the past week or so I have string together a film ready to present tomorrow at my first interview at Derby (my preferred choice of uni). It is, to say the least, quickly made and doesn't show the best of my abilities by far, but thankfully they are looking at technical aspects more than anything, so it is going to have to do.
The film, after much consideration, is called "Hold My Hand As I'm Lowered" and is about a female who considered suicide after suffering domestic abuse. There is a lot of paperwork to accompany the film for the portfolio, but you don't really need to see that

I hope to keep this thread as a development thread of my film work during my spare time and over the course of my university life. Of course, things will get MUCH better as the topic progresses, but until then, you have to put up with some less thought-out, interesting or well produced ideas...
