They're usually very helpful. It's just a struggle to understand what they're saying clearly sometimes. I'm quite lucky though and seem to mainly get people who speak perfect English.
I don't think anyone loves them really, because calling them usually means that there's a problem. I couldn't care less though. They're normally alright...
Thankfully I rarely have to call them, but on the very few occasions I have I've had mixed responses. Some are good and helpful, others are rude chavs and others are difficult-to-understand foreigners. Generally though I seem to get the first group!
I did this poll (with the correct spelling (waiting for Phil to say actually American way is correct and we've just adapted it and changed it... or vice versa)).
Anyway, it'd be good to answer as I'm not in a Call Centre anymore, due to getting shafted for the foreign/cheaper option.
I still believe if you treat the person on the line with respect, they'll be more than happy to help you. I've had a couple of experiences with call centres since leaving that job, and on the whole things have been sorted there and then... wouldn't say I LOVE them though.
There isn't really an option on the poll I'd choose.
"I work/worked in one and I hate the customers who hate us!" - If you ever feel like that, you're in the wrong job, leave.
