Poems aside what did you actually make of the park, worth a visit?

Obviously Huracanito. I mean look at it, very few other parks have a ride like that one. ;)

It's a weird one. It's like The Land of Gerstlauer Rides. I wouldn't recommend travelling to visit this park, but if you happen to be in the area it's worth stopping by - just don't expect to be entertained for more than a few hours. I think it's telling that the park was pretty dead in the middle of peak season.

My main gripe with Belantis was that some parts were nicely themed, others were just rides slapped on concrete. It was a really inconsistent. This fab Gerstlauer Bobsled trundled around the turrets of a castle:

And then went through a snakes mouth:

There was a Madhouse located in the same castle, you had to walk down a pitch black spiral staircase to get to it. It featured some great optical illusions of things disappearing whilst the room spun. The Madhouse was my fave ride of the park - which says a lot about the standard of rides at Belantis :/

The log flume was also cool:

But all the other areas and rides were dire - no area music, no atmosphere.

The park's main coaster: Huracan was a theme-free Eurofighter slapped down by the entrance. It was painted red which is my least fave coaster colour, and had extra padding by the ears on the restraints because it was so horribly rough. I actually like Eurofighters and I hated it - they should rename it Huracan't.

Aside from the pictures I already posted, there is little else at Belantis apart from a few more boring flat rides. I'd describe Belantis as a 'Themusement Park' - slightly better than an amusement park, but not consistent enough to feel like a theme park.

Thanks for the mention, Serena. ;)

Me and Tomatron are off to Belantis and Plohn next month so it was interesting to read your report.

The highlight of the park seems to be the bobsled coaster. Is it as fun as the POV suggests?

Also yay for the sky fly. The one at Bakken was fab so I'm looking forward to riding one again (And I normally hate flat rides).

Yeah, it is - it's the best Bobsled I've ridden. Super-smooth with a surprising first drop and fab themeing.

That poem was fab!

The Gerstlauer Bobsled is really good fun, and the sky flyer is a silly ride but really funny.
