Barry Island Set To Close

I'm not sure if many of you have been here. I haven't so i don't really know much about it, but Barry Island is set to close to be a all-year-round undercover tourism complex.

I haven't been on here in a while, I hadn't seen this news. I used to live in Cardiff and go to Barry Island sometimes when I was a kid. The log flume felt like it had an impossibly steep drop, Viper was the scariest coaster in the world (for all the wrong reasons, it felt/looks like it was made of scaffolding that was about to collapse) and I seem to remember my sister going on the helter skelter but crying in frustration by her second go because it hadn't been waxed since the 1960s and so was more like sitting on a chair that a slide. It was also owned by Hyper Value, not exactly a mark of high quality. It's a shame in a way to see yet another seaside park bite the dust... But it was an epic dump, I'm just surprised it's lasted this long really.

And it also had an awesome (to a 5-year-old boy) car ride, best thing there!
