Bakken - Gerstlauer Sky Roller - 2014

It has be rumored for some time, but now Bakken's splash battle is finally leaving!

What will take it's place? Some time ago, I heard a rumor about a Gerstlauer Sky Fly, I don't know if that is still the plan though.

It's confirmed by Gerstlauer to be a new version of the Sky Roller.
Pisses me of, because I was a bit excited for a Sky Fly, not the Sky Roller. The one in Belantis is absolute crap!

^ Yep, apparently with a modified "cable system and re-designed structure"

Personally I think it's really good for Bakken, the space at where it's gonna be is almost the park's centrum and this will have a great appearance.

Have to disagree. I make the trip to Belantis just to ride it and took UC there for the same reason. We both think they should build more of these.

Hopefully the modified version doesn't affect the spinning. I'll be going to Bakken just to see if I can break my record there.

I didn't care much for the one at Belantis, but I will definitely make the trip over to Bakken next month and try this one.

Couldn't figure out how to spin or couldn't handle the experience?
Also, if you didn't like Götterflug, why would you want to try this one?

Maybe he just wants to go and see if he will change his mind with this one?
 
Didn't mean it that way. I'm just curious why he didn't like it and if I don't care for a ride type I wouldn't say that I will "definitely" make a trip to different park to ride another one.

I definitely wan't to give it another try, and get a better, more 'real' opinion.

The day at Belantis was horrible, because I didn't like the park overall, the Huracan ride beat us all up pretty bad, and it was hotter than hell. The ride also had a 1,5h line, and also broke down twice which gave us a bit over 2h in line, and when it was finally us the ride was over just as I got the hang of how to make it spin.
 
^I know what you mean about Huracan. UC and I both couldn't understand why it beats you up so badly.
The park was pretty empty both days I visited. Glad I didn't have to put up with the wait times you did and you "definitely" have to give the Sky Roller another go then. I did 86 and 94 spins the first time I tried with my son and got 96 when I went back with UC. Once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to spin. The hard part is keeping going when your mind is yelling at you to stop. :wink:
 
Yeah the Huracan ride is pretty weird, it almost chopped my neck of, still it didn't really rattle or jerk back and forth sideways, it was just weird. It looked so badass, so I was a bit disappointed.

Although I don't think I will be anywhere close to 94 spins, I'm actually getting a bit excited to try out the ride again.
