Wasn't sure whether to do a trip report seeing as I did one for when I went on Saturday, so I'll keep it short.
Me, my cousin and some of my mates went to Towers today as we split up from school for Easter yesterday, the third time for me this year. It was quite busy but not as busy as on Saturday as expected, with the biggest queue being Rita as it was on 40 minutes for the majority of the day.
So we all met up at Towers at around half 10 and went in while we waited for a couple of my mates to get tickets using a 2 for 1. Then we headed for our first ride, Rita. It had about a 25 minute queue, and after a short while we got on. It was really forceful and the cold wind felt really powerful on your face. Enjoyable ride though.
Next was over to Forbidden Valley where Nemesis had a big queue, so we went on Air with around a 20 minute queue. It was a nice relaxing ride, nice and smooth.
Then was a series of small rides Blade, Duel, Runaway Mine Train and the Rapids, which were all as good as always, the Rapids getting us fairly wet. After it was time for dinner so we went to Burger King in the Mutiny Bay area and the meal was quite nice.
After was Sharkbait Reef which I had already been in but some of the others hadn't, but with being in again I noticed more detail and things that I missed the first time.
Next, I think we looked on the queue board to find Oblivion with almost no queue and headed over there to find this true. We did two rides but were on the back row both times. Got thrown out my seat both times as the restraints were quite loose which was fun.
We hadn't been on Nemesis yet so we thought this was the time. So, we went over to Forbidden Valley to find around a 20 minute queue. We rode this two times aswell, both on the back row. Really forceful as usual and a really, really great ride. Still my favourite.
Then I got a BK fusions ice cream (I got given the right one this time) and we strolled down to Gloomy Wood. We sat on the benches to finish off some food then took another go on the Duel. The triggers are still a bit stiff but not as bad as they were at the start of the season.
Now, it was really sunny and some wanted to go on the Flume and some didn't. So, we split up and me and my cousin went to Oblivion. Got two more rides on it, back row again, annoyed we didn't get front. But still really enjoyable again with hands up.
We had decided to meet up at Rita for the last ride at 4:40 with the others, so we got there and they were nowhere to be seen. They turned up at around 4:50 and they hadn't got on the Flume as it had closed while they were in the queue, it had broken down and closed for the day. They got given priority passes for another day for it.
So, we then took our last ride on Rita and my mate got front row as it was random and the proper front row queue was closed and they had a certain number of people on certain rows. Was really forceful again though, and a good way to finish the day.
Also, my mate's mum was there with his brother, and apparently his mum had been at Nemesis when it closed late on in the day and there was an ambulance outside it. I don't know whether this is true but this is what he told me, if anyone can confirm it.
Anyway was a really good day with a pretty good ride count:
Rita x2
Air x1
Blade x1
Duel x2
Runaway Mine Train x1
Rapids x1
Sharkbait Reef x1
Oblivion x4
Nemesis x2
