In 2017, the United States will be bidding to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. With steep competition from both Istanbul and Madrid on their second consecutive bids, it sure won't be easy. However, our San Francisco bid is making up for this through an addition no other bid would ever include; its own theme park. Here at Horizon Studios, we have been given the pleasure of rendering the theme park for the bid video presented to the International Olympic Committee.

All-American Road Trip is set to be, as the tagline will be, "America's Regional Theme Park." The United States Olympic Committee has hired creative staff, engineers, and many more from Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, Herschend Family Entertainment, and The Blackstone Group to bring together the industry's biggest collaborative effort since Spain's PortAdventura, a project on which Blackstone also worked. Set a mere stone's throw from the Olympic park, All-American Road Trip will celebrate the unique and varying flavors of our nation from sea to shining sea. In one day, parkgoers will be able to go whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon, join a paranormal investigation of a southern bayou, take a throwback to the days of prohibition bootlegging moonshine through the Smoky Mountains, and end the day watching fireworks burst overhead turning the sky over a county fair into a patriotic rainbow. The park will be split up into nine different areas, eight representing different regions of our nation, one being a special kids' area celebrating the classic American County Fair.

The areas of the park:

*Cornersburg- Enter the park through a classic 1910's Midwestern town square complete with charming architecture, shopping, and an opportunity to hop onto the Transcontinental Railroad. Stop into Wilbur and Orville Wright's hangar and hop aboard a Wright Flyer, the first powered aircraft and one of the greatest innovations to come out of the Midwest. Join the Chicago Fire Department and go save the town from being burned to a crisp. Continue down the midway to the farms that cover the nation's heartland to take a hayride, grab a bite at the Farmer's Market, or take a stroll on a Ford Model T, another great Midwestern innovation.

*Battery Lane- Modeled after a classic Southern coastal town like Savannah or Charleston, the warm, inviting Southern charm beckons you to stroll down this waterfront midway. Grab a bite at The Magnolia Room, a classy Southern restaurant with a lovely dining room and an upstairs patio providing great views of the water. Go celebrate Mardi Gras down the street with games and carnival rides. Come back at night for a spooky nighttime paranormal investigation in the foggy bayou for the legendary Swamp Angel, if you dare!

*Seabird Harbor- Living up to its name, the sounds of seagulls crying over the water lapping against the shore fills your ears as you enter this small New England fishing town. Go watch boats being built that you can purchase, take on a villainous sea monster going after boats, eat fresh New England seafood at Wayfarer's Inn, or take to the high seas on a powerful storm on a twisting, turning roller coaster experience.

*Blue Mist Valley- Nestled within the rolling hills of the Smoky Mountains region, this area takes you out into the backwoods of the Appalachians. Sit back and see AART's lumberjacks working hard (though more like hardly working) at Timber Lodge Theatre, drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, take on a forest fire, brave a decrepit coal mine, or go for a midnight run whisking you back to the days of the 1930's racing to get your moonshine where it needs to be on a launched family roller coaster. If thrills aren't your thing, however, fear not! You can sit back and grab some flapjacks at Gatlinburg Pancake House.

*Cactus Flower- Head out west into the Mojave Desert to experience two different cultures. The first, found along the Route 66 Midway, allows you to experience quite literally a road trip out west. Go whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon, Grab a bite at a classic Route 66 diner, go win big at Vegas Strip arcade, or if you REALLY want to take that risk, go check out the infamous Area 51. For a more old-fashioned experience out west, hit up the abandoned Cactus Flower ghost town. Enjoy a drink, food, and some line dancing at good old fashioned Spittoon Saloon. Looking for some live entertainment? Sit back and watch an unbelievable display of trick roping, knife throwing, and quick draw sharpshooting at Cattle Drive Soundstage. This is also another area where you can catch the Transcontinental Railroad, just be wary of one thing; outlaws are a huge problem in Old Cactus Flower...

*Pinecone Ridge- Head for the great outdoors of the beautiful Pacific Northwest region. Conquer the treeline on Sierra, an experience like no other that creates the feeling of riding the towering peaks of the Cascade Mountains on the West Coast's tallest full-circuit roller coaster. One can also get a taste of Oregon's logging industry floating down the river on a piece of timber, complete with a breathtaking splash over a waterfall. Hang glide over the picturesque landscape on the world's first family flying coaster; an experience just as memorable for the adults as it is for the kids. After that, grab a meal at Grizzly Mountain Lodge, the largest restaurant in the park.

*Santa Sofia- West Coast is best coast on this California boardwalk! Take on the waves of Malibu, enter LA's film industry and watch the stunt doubles of the silver screen present a death-defying show of stunt driving, screen combat, explosions, and falls at Hollywood Backlot, or experience a multitude of West Coast foods such as LA Sushi, In-N-Out Burger, or Baja fish tacos. Be rocketed from 0 to 70 on Coastal Cruiser, a fast-paced launching roller coaster providing the feeling of riding the Golden Coast.

*State Fair- Parents with small children can give the kids a bit of fun in non-regional kids area of the park. Corn dogs, cotton candy, and other fairground classics can be obtained at various stands along the midway. Traveling carnival staples make up the area including a tilt-a-whirl, teacups, bobsleds, a giant slide, a Ferris wheel, and others. One side of the midway's length is completely dominated by Firecracker, a small-scale classic out-and-back wooden coaster that's fun for the whole family. At night, though, this area really shines literally. This area is the epicenter for the nightly fireworks when the sky will burst into a million colorful sparks over the midway already lit by Firecraker's lighting package. The perfect way to end any day at America's regional theme park!

The last region has yet to be decided by public poll. However, the areas we are considering are Florida, Hawaii, Alaska, The Adirondacks (Upstate New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire) and New York City. One of these, Santa Sofia, or Pinecone Ridge will be the last stop on the Transcontinental Railroad and one of these or State Fair will be home to the park's back entrance.

Anyway, onto the first area to be covered; Seabird Harbor! Keep in mind that at this stage of design everything you see is a rendering and a rendering in progress at that. The first updates for each area are just going to be for general appearance, it will take from two to five more updates per area to get the rendering ready for the bid video.

Guests enter Seabird Harbor over a railroad crossing.

The entrance is guarded by Seabird Lighthouse, the second tallest structure in the area.

The area faces out along the man-made lake that will serve to separate the South from New England and should be pretty picturesque from Battery Lane.

Towering over the park section is none other than Deluge, the park's Morgan Hyper GTX. Like most (if not all) of the coasters featured at this park, Deluge is a product of the USA.

Deluge is absolutely NUTS. We had to keep double-checking the measurements presented on the blueprints with which Morgan provided us to see if we were reading it right because it just looks wrong!

It's themed as a fishing charter caught in a nasty ocean storm being thrown around by the waves of the Atlantic.

It performs a Cheetah Hunt-esque side hop over the drop pullout.

Cedar Fair took care of the theming on Deluge. Similar to Banshee, it has simple, minimalistic theming. The station, shown here, is themed as a boathouse.

And we're clear and out of here! Enjoy being lifted up 113 feet and dropped at an 84-degree angle here on Deluge!

The only major piece of theming would be this shipwreck. Cedar Fair normally wouldn't put this on one of their rides, but they felt obligated to with the budget the US Olympic Committee had shelled out for this.

Just for giggles, here's how Deluge would look if park guests could climb the lighthouse.

Here's the view from the top of the lift. The drop is so steep and brisk you don't notice it until you shoot down it.

Here is what we have rendered of The Dry Dock. This craftsmen's building will showcase boat building. Guests will be able to see them building little fishing dinghys that will be available for purchase, similar to the wagon shop at Dollywood.

On that note, we got this old-fashioned diving suit from a pawn shop and decided to throw it in the park. Everybody around the office has named it #Saul, but we're not sure where to put #Saul. Any ideas?

Seabird Harbor Chapel, modeled after a New England-style church, will be a historical experience guests can walk through. The garden is beautiful but the building doesn't look as good here as it did on paper, we'll have to fix it.

Wayfarer's Inn serves fresh seafood. It's a pretty fancy restaurant for a theme park, and will include some outdoor seating up on the balcony for an upcharge.

Very little lighting has been added, but rest assured, this area, like all other areas, will light up at night. The whole park has to, it will be open 24 hours a day during the Olympics.

Have a nice day!

QUESTION: Which region do you want to see added?
A. Alaska
B. Hawaii
C. Adirondacks
D. Florida
E. New York City

Pretty impressive ! Your Morgan mega-lite looks very exciting and well airtime-filled. It has a very picturesque silhouette and beautiful colours. It just lacks some footers - Weber's Aged Footers are a sure CSO for that matter.
