Was bored the other day so decided to pop down south to mop up the last of the creds one can obtain sans child. First stop was Flamingo Park in Hastings, most infamous for its temperamental Big Apple cred that seems to elude even the best of cred whores. Luckily for AJ and I, the thing was open, hurrah! Although, not hurrah because I was pretty sure I was done with these bastard kings of shame inducement, however I was wrong.
Have some pics of the delightful seaside resort of Flamingo Park:
Casual copyright infringement, naturellement.
The cred was fairly cheap, especially when compared to the likes of the fun house or the bouncy bounce. £6!! **** off...Also, Flamingo Park was on the upmarket scale of crappy seaside resorts in that its tokens were actually branded. OooOOooH!
A map, in case you get lost in the 100 sq.ft. of concrete.
Let the shame begin!
The ride ops were really weird, enthusiastic to the point of being frightening. "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!" Felt like a bloody hostage, terrifying!
We bulk bought some tokens (cos it was cheaper) so we used the rest on the ghost train.
It was ****. Just a load of broken mannequins. Boo!
I think we were there for about 20 mins before jumping back in the car down the road to Eastbourne to Fort Fun THEME PARK. THEME PARK. Park avec theming, yay! So we pulled up and it was essentially another concrete dump, but this time surrounded with wood. But it WAS free entry so there is that.
There was some theming though:
Mincy bear bin.
Fab drop tower (that was closed =[[)
We SHAMEFULLY had to ask the ride op to go back and operate the cred for us <//3
This cred had an unusual theme of 'bin yard', where they appear to have used Merlin's 'found objects' technique of using real life objects as theming! Clever.
After this we drove a further 5 mins down the road and played some pirate mini golf, which was quite fably themed but was full of cretinous Brits on holiday at the seaside displaying lobster tans and being generally gross.
Twas a fab day, and +2, yay!
