If a park put on an day exclusively for enthusiasts, what perks would you most like to see and what bores you?

Do you like/dislike Q&A sessions, backstage tours, ERT, lift hill climbs, reduced entrance price...all of the above!

Tell me how you would most like to indulge in a day of coaster geekery.
 
Behind the scenes tours, ERT, free admission, free t-shirts, the works.

If that happened, it'd be awesome
 
My VIP tour thingy at Kings Island was a decent enough representation of a dream day out...

8 hours of queue-jumping of all rides, 1 hour of a rather epic buffet, free ice-cream, free photos, priority show seating (if you're into it), backstage tour of Beast (and to a smaller degree Diamondback due to the route taken to queue-jump)...

Yeah, that was an awesome day...
 
Just as many perks as can be got is great. When the parks are friendly and give us behind the scenes tours of rides like at Tivoli Gardens last year then it's great and really adds to the enjoyment of your day.
Also free stuff like the T-shirts and lanyards Hansa Park gave us and the free lunch Djurs Sommerland (I think it was them) was also great and made the day even more amazing. :)

Q&A sessions are good if the person is interesting. I know a few people got bored with the talk from the guy at Bakken. But the free beer may of been distracting them. :P

I'd love to do a lift hill climb as well. :) Never done one before and it'd be quite cool to do I'd imagine. Also behind the scenes tours of dark rides and stuff where there's loads of stuff to look at. Most the time people don't appreciate how amazing the themeing is when they're going past it in a moving car so time to explore them would be great. :)
 
I'd love to do a backstage tour in eg the machine-room of a launched coaster and have an experienced angineer as guide :) lift hill climb sounds cool too! And of course A LOT of ert!! :--D

Don't care so much for free stuff like t-shirts etc. Free lunch would be nice though, but I much rather do a backstage tour or ert!
 
I'd do all of those things except the lift hill climb. That would terrify me.

It's one thing to be strapped into a coaster car on top of the lift: that way you are nice & secure. It's another to walk up the stairs & stand at the top, not strapped to anything. As strange as it sounds, I am enthusiast that is kind of afraid of heights.
 
Definitely a lift hill climb, that would be awesome. Behind the scenes tour (Am dying to visit Stealths hydraulic room), Q/A talks, depending on what they are talking about :) Pretty much everything and anything would make me happy, oh and maybe some free t-shirts etc.
 
As this is a day for enthusiasts, I would love it if the park were actually closed for the GP for this day. Naturally, it would be a whole day of ERT, and they should throw in free food and drinks (or a very cheap eat-all-day plan). Back stage tours would be really cool too, and so would a lift hill climb.

I would take a free t-shirt, too. :lol:
 
Wouldn't mind doing a behind the scenes of the more complex rides.. always interested in that.. free stuff of course.. and PLENTY of ERT.
 
Basically just ERT and Q&A (always interesting).

I've had a couple backstage tours, and although I appreciate it, it really just doesn't interest me. I've never been in to the techy stuff about coasters, just riding/discussing them in general.

I'd love to do a lifthill walk, a Q+A with an interesting person, a plethora of ERT, backstage tours of something geeky like repair shops or back stage tours, free stuff if it's going (but not necessary or taken for granted), reduced entrance price....

And seeming as though it's a dream day, anything is possible as long as it's in your imagination. So, individual attractive, naked female tour guides wouldn't go a-miss.
 
As a dream day I'd probally expect the in's and out's of the ducks arse.

I'm only bothered about having a quick walk up the top of a lift hill, or be able to climb up Stealth's (or another penis coaster) tophat. Now that would be fun. Anything where you can walk about where ever you like.
