What with Hyperia having a 1.3m restriction it does seem the bar is increasingly lower for what kids can ride.
Although equally it's basically just an extended Corkscrew from Alton Towers which was technically a 1.2m family coaster in 1980, even if it wasn't perceived as such relative to the...
What a coup it would be if they had a trackless Dark Ride, though i'm probably getting carried away. Never actually went in the old 4D cinema so no idea of the space they're working with. Theoretically they are easier/faster to build than their tracked equivalents?
Hope it's not a 3D glasses...
I haven't been to TP for about 20 years but certainly didn't remember it being as big as they claimed so good work! The Universal site is definitely massive so lack of room shouldn't be anyones concern.
When i was younger there was a bit at TP where you caught a train to a farm but on the way...
As an interesting comparison (assuming online figures are correct), the entire Warner Bros World park in UAE is less than a tenth of this entire plot, which i think should be a big part of the model they're aiming for. Obviously they don't have any high rollercoasters but it's a good example of...
Not sure if we are lucky but i've not once encountered any traffic going to or from Paulton's, always a pleasure to drive straight in or out compared to other parks, especially Legoland where you're often stuck for 20-30 minutes half a mile away and where we always leave early due to the horror...
Funnily enough, whilst the report said they were at USJ, when i watched it they were clearly in Florida... And the video has since been taken down.
The plot thickens.
Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario etc creator) and Eiji Aonuma (Zelda producer) are at USJ today overseeing construction.... probably of Donkey Kong Country and definitely not of a Zelda themed dark ride to replace Spiderman.
Forgot this was closing. Been looking at queue times recently as planning a trip this year and wondered why it was getting 3 hour lines at the weekend.
Seems the park has a lot of major rides out of service this year (Spiderman, Jurassic Park , Space Fantasy and Jaws).
Don't hotel guests get free access? Or is that only Splash Landings hotel?
Either way i agree, always seems a shame you can't use it after the park has closed. Center Parcs keep their equivalents open till around 9pm all year.
Went to Legoland yesterday, don't think there's been any work on the ride since the post above (not surprisingly) and nothing was going on. Both tracks look finished up to the lift hill and end spikes. I imagine they need to close the Duplo area to build the latter so are waiting till the park...
