I came across this awesome piece of marketing by accident on facebook. This same picture has also been used on Bus stop ads around Helsinki. This is going to be a long week...
So far only 2 trains (both having 16 seats) has been seen on the site and I really doubt that there will be more. I think 2 train is reasonable for Linnanmäki's visitor count though of course, it would be awesome to have more.
How lucky! I'm dying to hear more Taiga information now that the opening date is getting closer! this will definitely keep me content for a while. Thanks, PetskuC!
I managed to see Taiga being tested and even captured some video footage :p.
I'm really sorry for my phones potato quality (And for the first video being vertical) :emoji_potato:
Just little ''heads up'': Linnanmäki is having a press conference on this Wednesday. It's safe to assume that we will get more information about Taiga :D! It's about time really as the season starts on Friday.
Zamperla's Twitter confirmed that the Boom will be something new called ''Z-Max'' and that more information will be released too. Along with the tweet, there is a short promotional video from Särkänniemi.
In other news, the tower structure seems to be almost ready.
After weeks of teasing Särkänniemi finally revealed what their new ride for 2019 will be.
My horrible attempt at translating how Särkänniemi describes the ride on their website
They also shared some stats:
Height - 68m
G-forces - 4G
Min. passenger height - 120cm (With accompanying adult)...
Nothing new here really aside of nice overview shot of Taiga. Nothing worth translating to be honest either.
Linnanmäki's marketing on Taiga has been so lackluster that it's hard not to be disappointed. They had almost year of time to build up hype and offer interesting ''behind the scenes''...
She does mention briefly how Taiga means northern forests and that the Eagle represents it in some way. It's pretty safe to assume that theming in Taiga will include forests in ways or another.
Found this really neat drone footage taken couple of days ago.
Second part of the video series is up! This time they talk little bit about theme and story of the Taiga.
Apparently ''Taiga'' is the name of the eagle we have seen many times in promotional pictures. It has left it's old territory behind to find a new and finally settling on building a nest on...
Linnanmäki just released new video on their instagram where Pia Adlivankin, General manager of Linnanmäki, birefly talks about Taiga. To summarise she mentions how she wanted to bring world-class roller coaster to Linnanmäki for some time now and the project started about 5-6 years ago. Part of...
Absolutely gorgeous! Now I'm positive that the construction will be finished in just weeks, maybe even days. I just love that last picture with coaster silhouette. Aaaah! So excited!
I guess that's taken atop of the hill just next to the park fence. You need to do a little bit of climbing to get there cause the terrain can be a little tricky ;). There's also a stairs which you might want to use.
(Sorry if this is considered as off topic :p.)
It seems like only things...
Linnanmäki released the POV they showed in the park back in october.
Too bad they used that purple-ish filter on the video as it makes the video seem little bit unclear and messy (At least to me).
