Somebody finally says it. Mack launches are the worst launches on any launch coaster imo and the Mack launch coaster is just an overrated ride type in general.
...ELECTRIC CHAIR *gavel*
However a B&M I do perceive to be better than Nemesis is Dragon Khan because it has almost everything that makes Nemesis good except for the terrain interactions, and it's twice as long
1. The Swarm
2. Stealth
3. Saw: The Ride
4. Nemesis Inferno
5. Colossus
6. The Walking Dead: The Ride
Not including Flying Fish because I think it's a bjt unfair to compare a kiddie coaster to larger rides.
I've just never been a fan of Mack launched coasters tbh. A launch coaster in my opinion should be all about its actual launches, and while Icon is good, its launches are pretty ****. Plus The Swarm has much better theming.
The Swarm isn't underrated, it's super smooth and not every good coaster has to be forceful. Also the theming around it, the way the ride interacts with that theming and the way its presented is brilliant. Best coaster at Thorpe for me.
My nominations for this:
•Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom/Disneyland Paris
•Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures
•Cobra at Paultons Park
•TH13TEEN at Alton Towers
•Dragon's Fury at Chessington World of Adventures
•The Dragon at Legoland Windsor
•Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at...
I love how both pass over the theme parks at their respective resorts as well (the Alton Towers one passing over the theme park as well as the WDW monorail passing over Epcot). Really hypes you up for those parks before you get in.
Probably either the Skyride at Alton Towers or the Disneyland/Walt Disney World Railroad that runs around the perimeter of the castle parks in Paris, Florida and Cali.
My nominations for this:
•Stealth at Thorpe Park
•SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa
•Oblivion at Alton Towers
•TH13TEEN at Alton Towers
•Galactica at Alton Towers
•Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom
•Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida
•Shambhala at PortAventura World
Tbh one of the good parts of this park right now is that it has a good flat ride collection. Something that other park down the road, while being much better, lacks.
