Confirmed for 26th April.
We just cancelled our trip, but can't get a refund on the flights so we'll go visit Tripsdrill and Holiday Park instead and come back for Europa in the Autumn.
Yeah I really like these trains, can't wait to get on this ride!
When do people think the park could open? Getting a booking in the big park hotel will probably be a nightmare!
I always thought it might be to do with how they pay/train their staff too. Europa, like the Disney Parks, often have a lot of older staff who look like really know what they're doing, rather than the seasonal teenage staff you get at a lot of UK parks.
Also the better parks seem willing to run...
That's so dark.
I'm thinking a Kong-style bus ride around the shire, like we're on Gandalf's cart.
Some hobbits wave at us, then there's some fireworks and it's over.
It seems crazy that beyond the Splash Mountain refurbs we don't really have any definite plans for the US Disney Parks. Disneyland 'might' get an expansion over the road, Animal Kingdom 'might' get a replacement for DInoland, Magic Kingdoms 'might' get a new area behind Big Thunder Mountain...
I feel like my top 10 changes every year, but we hit a few new bucket list coasters last year, so here we go again!
1. Twisted Colossus - Six Flags Magic Mountain
2. Ride to Happiness - Plopsaland
3. Taron - Phantasialand
4. Millenium Force - Cedar Point
5. Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point
6. Fury...
I wonder if lots of trims can actually help it run in more conditions. Like I know Saw can't run in moderate winds because of the risk of it slowing down too much and valleying, perhaps Hyperia is designed to naturally run faster than it needs to, and then they can use trims etc if it's not...
I've never been to the Splash Landings Pool because it's only open when the park is. It's what puts me off staying at AT really, that the park shuts early then there's nothing to do other than a tiny bar, some pub-level entertainment and a rubbish restaurant.
I really wish Merlin would lean more...
I love these kind of rumours so much.
I know it'll probably end up as a Minions indoor soft play area, but the thought of something on the scale of the other Universal Parks within a few hours drive is just incredible.
So glad I got on this just before the change!
When I was there I said I couldn't understand why they didn't replace it with a normal lift, the launch barely carried any extra speed over the top and while we were there it rolled back repeatedly.
I don't think it'll make a huge amount of...
Phantasialand is really great for casual food, with the waffles and flatbreads being particularly great, Hotel Matamba has a pretty good buffet too.
Liseberg has a great hotel buffet in Grand Curiosa (and it's bizarrely cheap) and some great choices in the park from a German cold meat platter...
It's hard to imagine the cost of living crisis has helped UK tourism much when prices for UK hotels and parks have risen so much higher than better European equivalents.
Me and my wife used to get deals for Alton Towers with a night at the hotel, breakfast, and park tickets for £95 in the few...
Thought I'd put up a new one since I've been to a few new places and revisited some that haven't aged all that well.
Twisted Colossus - Magic Mountain
Taron - Phantasialand
Millennium Force - Cedar Point
Ride to Happiness - Plopsaland
Fury 325 - Carowinds
Mako - Sea World Orlando
Formula Rossa...
It really is absolutely amazing. We went in with no idea what to expect, didn't even know there was a ride there. A staff member just stood in the entrance being like "hey, why not give this a go".
Were blown away tbh. The screens aren't 100% the best quality, but the movement and sheer size of...
