    New Space Mountain Disneyland Paris

^Yeah. The queue was clean enough but not really to my taste, and the effects inside the mountain were, if anything, worse than what I remembered of the ride before the refurb. The space section seemed to be themed like Crush's Coaster, just with a few planets and what looked like a huge TV...

    New Space Mountain Disneyland Paris

I have recently been to the park and I honestly found the ride really disappointing - while the ride was clean, the effects inside the mountain weren't too well hidden (the track was visible inside the mountain) and the ride was unbearably rough - so much so that I went on it once at the start...

    Rapids or log flume

In a normal, regional park, I would almost always prefer a rapids ride, seeing as they are much more fun, while flumes tend to be long and boring - all in anticipation to an often dull drop. However, when a flume is well themed (e.g. Splash Mountain), they are much better rides, and better than...

    Your last WOW! moment

Oziris at ParcAsterix - back row. After wandering endlessly around the park, getting a headache after multiple rides on Goudurix, and enduring the long and stuffy queue, this was such an amazing experience. After the quick airtime pop and whip of the drop, the whole ride was just effortless...

Are fun fair coasters considered creds?

Personally, although I have only been on one portable coaster, I wouldn't count them in general. I would however count one if it was as famous/large/exciting as a park coaster (rides such as Olympia Looping or Eurostar), but the problem there is which ones to count and which don't.

Favourite 'special effect' on a ride?

The mirror effect on the Snow White ride at DLP took me by surprise, even though it's quite simple. The queen is stood in front of a mirror with her back turned to the riders, revealing a witch in the mirror. I also agree with the ballroom effect on the Haunted Mansion just because of its sheer...

    Strangest Coaster Layouts

^The reason Powder Keg has that transfer is because couldn't find a way to fit rollback brakes on the launch, so instead of having a long and pointless straight section with brakes on it between the station and the launch, the train just goes into a set of brakes hidden behind the transfer. The...

    Best kiddie coasters

Tomahawk at PA is actually a really fun ride - especially without the seat belt. Minimum height is only one meter with an adult. I know Vampire at Chessington is considered a family coaster, but the ride is intense for the 1.1m restriction. I remember crying on my first ride as a child :(

Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Mountain Re-build - DLP

^^Thanks for the information. Do you know if they're getting new trains? I'm also really happy about new theming as I always thought the ride needed it. As long as they add more theming (preferably the area, station, queue and helices), instead of just replacing the current work with more...

Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Mountain Re-build - DLP

^^Apparently Indiana Jones is being completely re - tracked though. If this is the case then I would have thought Disney could spend the money on more important things.

Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Mountain Re-build - DLP

I have just randomly come across this on 'screamscape:' Has anybody else heard about this? To to me it seems really silly as Space Mountain was rougher than Indiana Jones. I would rather have them close down Indiana Jones and re track SM. I don't think there is another topic on this (I did a...

    Best themed Hyper Coaster?

^Shambhala has the track as the theme. The tall hills in theory paint a picture of the Himalayas, and although it kind of works, you wouldn't know unless you are told. Anyway, I think the theming on Silver Star looks quite good, with the Mercedes F1 theme (even though I haven't been).
