It’s unlikely. The first day is usually running around to the reveals and covering the bigger stuff on the floor. IAAPA does a Show Daily newsletter that’s typically available on their website the morning after each day. It might be covered in that or on the IAAPA socials.
Gutted not to be there this year. Love a good sheet pulling reveal. Although looks a bit underwhelming from what I’ve seen so far…but I’m only telling myself that to feel better.
This is like AI has written something just for me! I’ve lived in southern Hampshire all my life, visiting Paultons frequently since it opened in the early 80s. I now live on the edge of the New Forest, and I’m lucky enough to have explored it throughly on cycle and though my work on the...
Now that’s what I call theme parking!
What a brilliant day it was floating between people having goony, light-hearted chats and getting to know one another. There were times when it could have been 2007-ish again (except with Swarm, Hyperia, less hair, bigger stomach etc etc) with the perfect...
Just noticed the meet-up time. Seeing as I’m picking Chris up at 09:15, no chance of making it on time!
Will message somebody when we’re in and wait by the exit of whatever ride you’re on :)
The longest I've queued for a coaster is three hours - Top Thrill Dragster in 2004. I was 24 then, so it was easier to stand for hours and not need comforts like food and toilet breaks as often. I did so because it was my first trip to Cedar Point and, at the time, thought it might be the only...
My review:
It's short. It's got a rattle. The station is a bit drab and shed like, and the surrounding area is underwhelming (which I hope will improve when the landscaping is finished and has matured). The colours of the supports irked me - it would look better if they blended it, like on...
I wouldn’t say companies rip one another off, but there is a certain degree of inspiration gathered from what’s on show. Take for example Maurer’s rider-controlled movable coaster seat they had last year. I saw about six Disney “imagineers” all taking a detailed look at it. It wasn’t the usual...
Please keep this topic to the coverage - lets not redue ourelves to a trashy gossip magazine. If you know CF well enough, then you can make your own call. If anybody ever experiences a negative issue with CF, then please do take it up with me directly.
Thanks all for great support and comments...
That Moose is mega. I’d love to try one. As great as one would be in that box, wouldn’t it just be Black Hole III (or The Newer Black Hole)? The pre-lift “giggles” do give scope for some fab effects and stuff though. I dunno, maybe I’m just hanging on for higher expectations for Alton Towers...
This. Unless Alton have got something “cheap” as a prototype or multi-coaster deal.
I also think it would be a bit odd for Alton to announce and bang on about a new coaster before they’ve made a fanfare about Nemesis 2.0. That’s their next big upcoming thing. Why upstage it? If it is a RMC...
Tough call. Like Peet, I rode both the day after the other (and returned to Universal a day or so afterwards), and I’m edging towards Gwazi. Visually (both on and off ride), the Mosasaurus roll is great but I knew it was coming. Whereas IG’s death roll took me by surprise every time. I must’ve...
Perhaps it’s in Blackpool’s interest to be slightly different and advertise contrasting things to Merlin. Blackpool is obviously in competition with Merlin (and other) parks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Merlin pass holders make up a fair number of Blackpool PB visitor numbers. The Merlin pass...
Dreadful. Thoughts and prayers.
I watched the video in one of the reports, looks like the train is still on the track, or has one car been thrown from the track? Or has it derailed and throw the riders out? I saw an image of a wheel assembly on the ground.
