Part of me doesn't even want to post a random rumour from a random Twitter user, but I have seen it in a couple of places now.
There's some talk of Kingda Ka being removed at the end of next year from SFGAd.
The rumour goes that the high operating and maintenance cost are off-putting...
I'm sure I've posted some of these somewhere on here before, but this seems like a good thread to do it too, and chat about what I have planned with my Cred Sheet...
So we've got the classic Creds by Year chart:
Chart of countries:
And here's the corresponding table, in numerical order...
Cedar Point are closing Snake River Falls on September 2nd:

It is closing to make way for an as yet not revealed "future expansion", so that's something to keep an eye on...
Mirroring my Road to 300 TRs, I'm going to put in a bunch of TRs I've got for the rest of the year, as I aim to reach 400 creds by the end of the year.
After bagging #370 in the form of Hyperia, 30 in 7 months should be achievable, right? Let's see...
Emerald Park
A couple of weeks back, I...
A couple of weeks ago, I went to Madrid to celebrate my 30th birthday.
Madrid had been a bit of a cursed trip for me, with me having planned it a couple of times but it never coming to fruition. I booked a trip out there last October, and 2 days before I was due to fly out I ended up breaking...
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and I've missed it, but it looks like KD are doing...something to i305.
No indication as to what this is yet, so could be pretty minimal. But maybe something to keep an eye on?
I have a habit of taking ages to write my TRs, and I've no idea how long this will take me, but let's get started...although no creds / parks reports in this post.
At time of writing, I came back from the UAE yesterday. I spent 3 full days in the country, along with a day to fly out and a day...
I've got a few little / quick trips lined up over the coming weeks and months. I'll be shoving trips reports for them in this thread...starting off with this one!
For those unaware, I recently started working in a school. Great fun and loving it. But between working the usual Monday-Friday...
My recent America trip was, amongst many other things, meant to be where I hit 300 creds, quite easily too. As explained in my Trip Report though, that wasn't meant to be, with me ending up on a palindromic, but otherwise unsatisfying, 282 creds instead.
Fortunately, I have enough other trips...
EDIT: Moved this post across to the topic @cookie posted as it was some good foreshadowing. Hixee
Don't think it's worth its own thread just yet, but Jardin d'Acclimatation will be replacing their oldest coaster sometime over the next few years...
I finally did it: I finally went to America for some creds. Before my trip at the start of June, I'd only done European parks, so it was hugely exciting.
This will be a boring post; lots of waffle and no parks to talk of. A setting the scene sorta dealy.
This trip had been a long time in the...
Rewinding just over two years ago, I and a few friends had booked a trip out to Hamburg, which would include one and a half days at Heide Park - plus a stay in their hotel - and a day at Hansa Park. It would coincide with two of our April birthdays too. What better way than to spend a birthday...
It's been announced today that Efteling will close Spookslot this summer, with plans for a new €25m indoor attraction to replace it in 2024:
Just to cherrypick a particular quote:
The article also confirms the new hotel will also open in 2024, and be a €50m investment. It will have 7...
Inspired by @nadroJ 's recent topic, I started thinking - there's rides I always skip / avoid at parks I go to a lot, but are there rides are always do my best to go on?
For me with Thorpe Park, there's no major ride which I always try to squeeze in regardless. In part because some days the...
The Themed Entertainments Association (TEA) has released their guide on attendance figures for theme parks in 2020. These are in some cases guesstimates / not wholly accurate, but gives a good indication about how parks performed during the pandemic...
We all know the story. Covid has made international travel near-difficult to impossible, depending on the country and time of year. So out of a need to get creds, a UK trip was in order.
It's funny, I've never actually done a UK cred run trip before. I've managed to do most of the major...
Possibly jumping the gun a bit creating a thread for this, but...
There's a plot of land at Skyline Park that's been cleared, with track that looks suspiciously like Maurer Spike track on it. As I'm sure most-everyone knows, the park have a Spike coaster which has been plagued with problems...
This seems to have come out of nowhere, but Gardaland appear to be building a large investment attraction for 2022, replacing their Ramses attraction:
I don't think there's anything anywhere to state that this new ride is in fact a roller coaster, but I'm happy to go with the random Italian...
I haven't seen this anywhere else:
https://www.gronalund.com/2024
Grona Lund are looking to turn a car park into an expansion of the theme park, seemingly for 2024. A before and after of their idea:
This also includes new walkways on the water as well:
I know Grona is a very densely...
I guess this should have it's own thread..?
We know the name, we know the ride type, and the station build is well under construction (including the airgates already!). We now have some on park advertising:
Presumably the cred itself will be rather basic, but I think we're all more looking...
