I popped into the park for about 15 minutes today, and I was awestruck with this thing. It is absolutely massive! You can see it from pretty much anywhere in the park. It's no doubt going to be a modern park icon.
Sweet jesus that's tall. This thing is going to look incredible once it's done.
I will say I'm not entirely sold on the light brown they went with for the lift. Maybe I'm just so used to Goliath? It's not a deal breaker(it still looks really ****ing intimidating), but it's slightly off-putting...
Raging Bull(during Holiday In The Park): Much better in the cold than normal summer operation. You get a better sense of speed, a bit 'crisper' airtime, and just overall a better experience.
It's still a bit poo, though.
If you're posting it to let everyone see, then it's ok to say that! No need to be so drab about it.
I will say, the ride is shaping up to be something quite amazing! Those rocks look stunning for the wing!

I've paid for a fast pass once in my life, Cedar Point this past summer. The only reason I did was because everyone else in my group had one. Normally I just deal with the lines.
It usually is, yes, but sometimes it's best to match the color of the final coat with a lighter tone(in this case, a pastel yellow primer for orange) to make it more vibrant.
That yellow coat is what is known as a primer. It's used to help make the outer coat more durable and vibrant, allowing for a longer shelf life.
The orange does looks quite amazing, if I must say. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to doing it this summer! :)
1) Mantis - Didn't find it all that terrible. Wasn't rough, it was just the whole leg thing. Very middle-of-the-pack.
2) Apocalypse - I think I have this literally one space under Mantis. Again, not a terrible ride. Fairly decent theming for a Six Flags park. The only real thing that put it...
That is a strange combination for a theme park. I can not envision how they'd do this for the life of me.
Whatever, toss it in the bin with the other "Never Gonna Happen" parks.
Tennessee Tornado - Dollywood: Wonderful ride. It's smooth, intense, and has some lovely landscaping around it. Bit of a shame it's so short, but it's good for what it is.
Demon - Six Flags Great America: Solid classic looper. It's got some cool rockwork, some fun tunnels, and it still holds up...
All you need to know is the date! There's no membership fee or any crazy itineraries. Just make sure you RSVP at http://coasterforce.com/cf-live/ and you're all set! Hope to see you there! :D
One take that I have that's apparently quite spicy is that I preferred Maverick in the front with the hard restraints(as opposed to back row with the soft restraints). Maybe Maverick was so overshadowed by Steel Vengeance that trip that it left me underwhelmed, or maybe I just got really lucky...
