Alright let's do this:
1) Batman SFGAm - Probably home park bias, but to me this ride is a work of art. The layout is amazing, the theming is really solid, the terrain interaction is some of the best in the park, and it still runs butter smooth nearly 30 years later. It's a perfect blend of...
I am now a proud member of the "I305 is not all that good" club.
In slightly contrasting yet equally as interesting news, Verbolten is safely in my Top 20.
In no particular order, here's my updated list after my big trip...
- Dollywood
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg
- Knoebels
- Epcot
- Animal Kingdom
- Six Flags Great America
- Silver Dollar City
- Cedar Point
- Kennywood
- Islands of Adventure
After the trip...
1) Cedar Point - No contest, really. It's practically an island full of coasters! Frontier Town/Trail are great areas, too. Definitely the park to go to.
2) Carowinds - Had a lot of really cool rides with a fairly simple layout. Fury is fantastic, Copperhead was good fun, and...
For some reason this thread wasn't put into the Construction forum, but it is now!
This project definitely looks like one to keep an eye out for. Hopefully it'll be something nice and juicy!
Great America is a pretty large park, who typically runs as many trains as they physically can. They'll most definitely be running them both during normal operation.
Now that the ride is open, this thread has been unstickied!
This ride definitely looks like a winner. Love all the elements on it from start to finish.
Alright bitches, my turn.
To wrap up this electrifying year of stateside Lives, we're going to party hard at the one and only Six Flags Great America during the possibly first-ever US Ghosterforce! So in addition to the stellar coasters and attractions, we'll also be able to experience some...
That was the first POV, not meant to be official in any way. They probably took someone's iPhone and strapped it to the front. Once the ride is opened and figured out, they'll come back with the proper GoPro setup. All the other official POVs on the park's YT page are of quality, and I'm sure...
Goliath SFGAm: Man, this ride is one for the books. I remember opening day, wearing the super exclusive Goliath Sweatshirt they had(despite it being like 75 degrees outside) and waiting some 3-4 hours for the thing. The line was so long they had to put up a temporary queue that filled up the...
If you have a membership card, they'll most definitely be doing some soft openings for them before the official opening. Same goes for regular passholders, which is usually the day before the grand opening. Regardless, the article simply said on or around July 4th, which can mean any of the days...
Got back from CP yesterday with the family, so here's a few:
Gemini Blue: What a fun ride! Not the best thing in the world, but it's a super fun family coaster! Really enjoyed that.
Iron Dragon: Took me five ****ing years to get on it, but I finally did it. It's fine, I guess. Not terrible...
