The ride opened to pass holders today if anyone somehow wasn’t aware already. I’m stoked to get out to the park and try this beast. I’ll be receiving a free park ticket as part of a promo with the Hershey Bears hockey team. The thing is, they ticket is only good until June 30th. Would it be...
I think the Titan track is placed on some corners and banking because those elements experience more dynamic forces. While the valleys do experience high positive gs, I would be willing to bet these sections are easier to design and maintain because of their location near the ground. Also in my...
I’m no expert in chatGPT, but looking at their post history it sure looks like they are using it. Not sure if using it to comment here is the best use of the technology
So if the coaster’s rough because of a scuffed construction job, then why don’t they just retrack the ride with wood? Why didn’t they just build an RMC in the first place if they don’t want to deal with maintaining a wooden coaster? Very confusing but this was unforeseen at the time. At least...
As we all know, vintage rides like Knobels Phoenix and PNE Playland’s coaster are some of the most fun experiences to be had on any coaster. The GP and enthusiast crowds line up in droves for these rides because the airtime is so easy to experience. So, if a park wanted GCI or Gravity Group to...
I felt the same way about the ratcheting restraints on Hershey's triple tower. The OTS harness was really loose and looked to be in rough shape which was concerning for a ride that was only a few seasons old at the time. Not complaining though, as it adds a little edge to the mostly tame ride.
Hello everyone! Recently I have been hearing a lot of praise for Kings Island with many having the opinion that it is the better park than Cedar Point because of superior park operations and atmosphere. Obviously Cedar Point has the better ride lineup, but people also judge parks on more than...
It’s weirdly nauseating the way it slows the video during the valleys and speeds it up during the rolls at the end which I expect to be much slower and floatier IRL
I think it’s probably 50/50. On one hand, Cedar Fair is a huge chain and they wouldn’t be keen on spending the money to dismantle, transport and rebuild an existing ride, especially a coaster as large as Goldstriker. But on the other hand, they could use the coaster as a headlining attraction at...
The fact that a coaster of this scale and quality is going to a tiny fun spot park is still hilarious to me. Also, a coaster testing in sub freezing temps will indeed look a tad slow.
I think you just about nailed it. GCI has built their reputation on building the best and highest quality wooden rides for over 25 years. I have no doubts they are capable of building an all steel coaster, it just doesn’t make sense to do when there’s dozens of manufacturers who can do that job...
It’s definitely possible to visit the country safely, but it seems kinda backwards to me that a country betting it’s future around being a tourist destination also enforces these BS rules that make people feel uncomfortable. I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I wouldn’t wanna worry...
