Merlin have issued a press release announcing both a Ferrari Build & Race experience for the park and a Sea Life Center for the resort. So probably that's what's going to the Flight School site?
This comes as somewhat of a surprise to me as there is already one operating in Orlando, so...
I remember reading an interview with Merlin's CEO Scott O'Neill somewhere (maybe Blooloop? Don't remember), where he stated his plan was to establish Merlin itself as a more recognizable brand, so I wonder if we will see something along the line of "Merlin Thorpe Park Resort" or "Thorpe Park - a...
I guess it's a mixture of both preventing people from spending money at the parks due to crowds ("look, ride X has a 90 minute queue, let's not go today!") and making sure as many people as possible have location tracking enabled during their park visit in the app so they can monitor visitor...
Interesting. Screamscape speculated here this might be the LEGO Factory Adventure Ride from New York (and Korea), but the stated hall is both significantly larger and a few meters taller than that ride. So might this fit a themed indoor coaster? Merlin are currently adding coasters to LEGOLAND...
Merlin aim for a 90% satisfaction rate. So anything less than 10% of visitors on average unsatisfied with their visit is ok with them. Meanwhile, if I recall correctly, Efteling's aim is to get an average (!) guest satisfaction score of 9 out of 10, so to make up for one pissed guest (rating...
The following is from the YouTube video description: "Not only is Project Exodus going to be the UK's tallest rollercoaster, but it'll also be the UK's fastest coaster and will stand proud with its striking black, gold and white colour scheme🎢✨" Black might be new in the mix? Black trains...
With the LEGO Movie World dating back to 2019, Florida is overdue for what Merlin calls a big expansion. These major expansions are usual multi-park rollouts (such as the LEGO Ninjago World).
When the LEGO Movie World opened in Florida in 2019, it was planned for a rollout throughout all US and...
This is from Merlin's recently released 2022 Annual Report (page 4):

So basically, the Chinese parks have been pushed back from 2023 to 2025 and now to 2028.
Well, there's Pantheon at BGW and there's Hals-über-Kopf at Tripsdrill. The golden colour scheme works really well and I'm glad we're going to see more of that.
Sorry for double-posting (and a lot of blue sky thinking), but I had a look at Google Earth and the Flying School site + some wasteland to the south of it might actually be perfectly sized to get something similar to the German resort in there. So you would have the Maximus Wing Coaster as...
Sorry for double posting, but since it's been several months since we last had any major news on this:
Merlin's CEO and the LEGOLAND divisional director visited the construction site recently. The map shows the Ninjago area as "TBC". Might the whole area be on the chopping block?

Merlin CEO Scott O'Neil visited the site recently. A closer look at the map (source via source) shows two rides for this project being cancelled. These include what appears in plans as an "airport ride" flat ride in the Mythica area of the theme park and a "Super Spin Splash Ride" in the water...
Mythica B&M Wing Coaster probably?
With the LEGO Movie World opening back in 2019, the park is due for a major expansion anyway as Merlin usually try to bring these to their parks about every four years or so.
Shenzhen:
Take a look at the master plan for Shenzhen. LEGO Mythica will be at the northwestern part of the park while the wing coaster is to be located way further south. There will be two whole areas (Haunted House Monster Party + LEGO Friends) between the coaster and Mythica. The queue...
