This is interesting. I've not been to Thorpe since 2014, but I'd like to know about this no singles rules.
I fit in the seat on my lonesome comfortably, but can't sit with others because legs. I guess I could sit with a small child, but that'd be weird.
At the very least the Southend library should have local newspapers dating back to that time archived. You could pay them a visit or phone them up to see some coverage of the fatality. :)
Wow, that IS scandalous! Are there warnings of gators when you ride on Splash Mountain and near the lagoon? Because the last thing I would expect to happen whilst wandering around the Magic Kingdom is to be Gatorade!

It's amaaaaaazing. The launch backwards is so powerful and you get a ridiculous amount of airtime going backwards over the hump. It's pretty awesome seeing how quickly it fills up with water after you pass over it before the splash.
