First (and probably last) trip to Chessington, 04/10/24

If you visit BGT on a slow enough day, you only need one day. Just avoid most holiday periods and you'll be fine. Same with SWO, just visit on a slow day and you won't need to wait long for the coasters, slow ops or not

Oasis at Lakeport | Osage Beach, Missouri, USA | Theme Park

I'm glad to see some progress being made here, although I really can't see an April 2025 opening at all. Any word on if it got pushed back? I love seeing all these smaller parks like this and Mattel spring up. It beats seeing perpetual concepts and delays with larger projects like American...

First (and probably last) trip to Chessington, 04/10/24

So from an outsider's perspective, I went to Chessington for the first time ever this year and thought it was ok. The ride selection is alright for what it is. Yeah the operations are trash compared to the other two larger UK Merlin parks, but coming from the States, the operations aren't...

Has a coaster ever had to be rebuilt because of a hurricane?

The Jersey shore parks were hit pretty hard during Sandy, but most of them rebuilt and are more successful than ever. BGT has faced many hurricanes before and they're doing just fine. Milton won't be any different

Has a coaster ever had to be rebuilt because of a hurricane?

The Florida parks are built to withstand strong hurricanes. BGT will be fine all things considered.

What have you learned in your years as an enthusiast?

The number 1 rule to any park visit IMO Have fun! This hobby is all about visiting places that people to to escape reality and enjoy themselves. Some people like to take this hobby way too seriously. If that's your idea of enjoyment, then go for it! I personally like taking things a bit slower...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

The park hasn't confirmed this leak yet but it was posted to the website, then quickly retracted shortly after

    Last Cred Review

358: Penguin Trek - the ride starts out pretty fun with a neat dark ride segment and a launch with a nice punch, but after that, it kinda just meanders everywhere. No forces, no nothing. Yeah I get it's a family coaster, but family coasters can be punchy and fun. I did love the queue theming but...

Tripping across the pond [FINAL POST]

I was waiting for this review. A lot of people tend to sleep on Knoebels. Little do they know, its truly one of the best parks in the country. The operations are phenomenal, there are tons of rides to choose from, and you can easily spend a couple hours there and still find more stuff to do. It...

Quick question about Cedar Point Season Pass

You can start using your CF pass at SF starting January 6th, even if you bought the All Park add-on. You can activate your pass at any CF park. I don't know if you'll be able to activate it at any SF park. If Schlitterbahn or Canada's Wonderland is doing a sale, that'll be your best bet to save...

    Your Mack Count

Following up my launch coaster rankings. In no particular order Ride to Happiness - Plopsaland de Panne Copperhead Strike - Carowinds Cobra's Curse - Busch Gardens Tampa Journey to Atlantis - Sea World Orlando Journey to Atlantis - Sea World San Diego Journey to Atlantis - Sea World San...

    Rank the Mack Launch coasters

Mack doesn't really have many large launch coasters in the States. Its unfortunate 1. Ride to Happiness - My first Extreme Spinner, I went an hour out of my way to ride it, and it was well worth it. 2. Copperhead Strike - The launches aren't great but the whole package is excellent. Copperhead...

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Parks Panel | 10/08/24

I wouldn't really call 7D an E ticket. The ride is popular, but I'd call it a D ticket at most.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Parks Panel | 10/08/24

That was basically the first new E-ticket ride at MK since Splash opened. They need more of those.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Parks Panel | 10/08/24

I'm kinda sad we're losing the last quiet part of MK for another ride that will command hours+ waits, but this was a change that was desperately needed. MK is too crowded and they really haven't added anything in ages so these new expansions will hopefully absorb the crowds a bit more. It...

    Disney's Hollywood Studios | Monsters Inc | Vekoma (?) SFC | 202?

I feel like that would be a capacity problem if the next train has to wait for the elevator to reach the top and then travel back down. Even with dual stations, I could see that slowing the line down. Maybe if it has 4 stations or a separate load/unload, it might work better from a capacity...

Wonderland pier closing forever (Ocean City, New Jersey)

I would love to see Castaway pick up the property. I didn't get to visit when I was in Ocean City (just had time for Castaway), but I heard the flume and dark ride are top notch. It would be perfect for them because they could expand similar to Jolly Roger at the other Ocean City. I'd love to...

Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

Its kinda disheartening to see them making so much progress on this park and then turn around and realize both Flash and Georgia Surfer are still under construction despite summer basically being over. I'm really hoping they put more effort into their US parks in the future.

Six Flags / Cedar Fair Merger Announced

GAdv just announced their new passes will include all the parks in the future as well. Right now its still too early to know if dining plans/front of line will carry over across the board. Its confusing but I'm hoping this will all be cleared after they start announcing new rides and pushing...

Where is your local park and how often do you visit?

My primary home parks are Busch Gardens Williamsburg - 20 min drive - I tend to go 1-2 times a month. Sometimes 3x if there's a special event going on Kings Dominion - 1 hour drive - I tend to go once a month. Sometimes more if there's a special event going on I'm spoiled enough to have...
