Thats crazy to see a new ride having something like that done!
I know its fine and safe and everything but you'd think these days they'd have to do so much paperwork for such a "modification" lol
Could something like this work?
Existing transfer track is altered to have a curved, banked and inclining bit of track as well as the usual straight.
Train leaves the station, goes across the straight bit of transfer track and accelerates forwards, as the train is heading forward, the switch...
Something similar to GOTG but obviously smaller would be great. In that location it could be themed to something more family orientated and still be great.
I am wondering if they could use LSMs, including going up the spike, to make it over the top?
It would still use a cable to pull the train though, which is the reason TTD closed in the first place
Thanks for the updates Mr. Creature, glad to see an insight into your tinkering on the new ride and the interesting decisions the park makes with things like Flip Flop.
Its funny, the inner workings of the park seem exactly how I imagined. Very random. Just need them to randomly decide to build...
Yay, glad to see the risk now prevented. I got banned from the Flamingo Land Crazy facebook group because Raymond just plain denied this issue existing. :)
Hope they've finished wiring the fire alarm up now too.
Yeah agreed, i'm not too far from LWV and what it's doing doesnt really make much sense.
Lots of mini adventure places suited to little kids on much smaller bits of land too.
A holiday park type thing I do wonder how it would work - the middle of the ultimate area is now used for farming -...
Seen people purporting to work at the park commenting on things on Youtube and Facebook. Could be completely untrue of course. I'm going to go find out for myself later in the year.
I'm not so sure - the lifts are basically freestanding and the rest of the track is just wooden sleepers with...
I visited with a friend who used to be a ride op at other parks and he was shocked at how bad it was, would be super easy for someone to get injured, especially a child; who are often left unattended to run about the park since the holiday park is all in one with the park now.
I was kinda expecting the park staff to be on their best behaviour on a new rides opening day myself. I saw:
1. Kumali ride op sat on the airgates as the ride cycled - nobody near an E-Stop button or watching the ride cycle
2. Cliffhanger ride ops batching guests into that pre-ride area. Which...
Yeah it does seem like it would be such an easy fix as you say. Steel panel on the fence or over that bit of the cable. Wouldnt take much to make it unreachable.
Flamingo Land does have that magical mix of excitement and depression for a new coaster though. You just know its not going to be kept clean and tidy and that it's gonna be a looooong time until the next one.
Being there today made me remember being 14 and at the park in like 2006, felt like it...
