I know there was a lot of interesting bodging done to this coaster, I've seen pics and videos of track rails being cut open and patched so it wouldn't surprise me if there's a lot of stuff to sort out on it.
Definitely not one and done, but I definitely like to soak in a parks atmosphere and look at how it all works off-ride a lot more now rather than get as many rides in as possible.
As a child i'd care about coaster counts but as an adult I couldn't care less. Honestly makes me cringe seeing 40 year olds riding kiddie coasters purely for an arbitrary number.
I'm also not as bothered about reriding as much as possible.
Interesting they have the "front car only" setup like that Canadian mall had.
I guess that's to ensure each car has its own set of wheel bogies instead of middle cars sharing them. I assume that's to try prevent the same kind of accident happening that happens to these Schwartzkopfs
It's funny how people can have such opposite opinions with these things. I rode ice breaker last month and found it so disappointing. The claustrophobic uncomfortable trains just ruined my experience of that coaster. I hated it entirely.
Whereas cliffhanger always impressed me with its combo...
I will say that figures you can see publicly probably don't tell the full story. Lots of clever accounting goes on with businesses, especially where lots of money is involved.
A loss could easily very much not be a loss depending on what they've been doing
I know if you look on companies...
I rode Pipeline for the first time a couple days ago too on my holiday to Florida.
I really enjoyed the ride, it is a really interesting concept. My partner didn't really enjoy it though and I can agree with her perspective.
The vest restraints are so so tight, they are constantly pushing on...
Its my favourite UK park but I do feel like management is severely lacking. Year after year there's glaring issues and lack of attention to detail with things. Like do none of the management actually walk around the park and see how its run? Do they never do experiments to see what a guests...
I thought the Duel refurb is pretty great tbh. As always with Merlin, not done 100% properly but what they HAVE done is great.
There's a random section of complete darkness for no benefit or reason, and the story is a bit confusing.
I'd say they replace track due to metal fatigue/cracking more than anything. I assume they retracked that section to make the ride last a bit longer, rather than for any "smoothness" benefit really
I feel lucky I got to ride it a few times on my one and only visit to that park then!
Flashing back to the 90s, Bullet at Flamingo Land was a bugger to get on. Spited many times
I think with Tron there was such a huge long buildup to it because of COVID etc. And now it's open people don't have much to say about it.
I'm looking forward to riding it next month but from what I gather Guardians is far better
