Space Mountain Mission 2 at Disneyland Paris. As a coaster it is pretty rough, but I love the theming and have a nostalgic love for it that survives all the neck pain.
I had a look at the documents.
First thing's first, I love the colour selection. It's a nice change from the typical Merlin palette, and I'm rather pleased.
However, I noted the building elevations in the documents, and it got me a bit worried. It looks like the station will be a pitched roof...
I'm surprised you say that, I had an immediate bad reaction to that. It looks so tacky.
I didn't like the mock ups of black with red rails that some fans made earlier, but this is much much worse. I REALLY hate this.
The park isn't perfect but that's a massive overreaction. If you are there before opening you can easily do most of the rides without any fast pass. Generally I find if there well ahead of opening you can hit 2 coasters in the first hour and then complete the other across the day. At worst I've...
I remember that this was the case at Efteling, specifically Baron 1898. I went in February 2018 (-3 degrees C) and could see the orange heaters below the track in the station.
Busch Gardens Tampa never vibes with me. I went once in 2006 after having done Disney and Universal for 2 weeks before. I enjoyed the rides there, but never thought it was that great.
I think I was anticipating a more luscious park like Animal Kingdom, when in reality it was not that at all.
I'd argue that most of those aren't misnomer as they ARE themed to their respective subjects.
However Batman THE Ride might be the exception as the 'the' implies it is the only Batman ride, when there are actually many.
Saw rides like garbage, but I entirely agree that that final drop is incredible.
I would also like to nominate the pops of airtime preceding the (many) MCBRs on Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. You're going at quite the speed before levelling out and I found myself getting pops of air before each brake.
Maybe not a complete misnomer as it is fast, but Speed at Energylandia. When I think of a water coaster, its speed isn't the defining characteristic I'd choose to name it after.
