I agree with Gavin's new recruit storyline, that one is very tired.
Also I'm in agreement with pop music in theme parks, I much prefer attraction or theme specific music.
I'll ignore the obvious ones which I have to do at Thorpe Park (Nemesis Inferno, The Swarm, Stealth) and say that I love The Walking Dead The Ride and try to ride ot every time.
Thorpe Park:
Saw and Colossus. Have ridden both, but find the resulting headache / nausea spoils the day. I'd rather just ride Stealth 3 times instead.
Good idea
Best:
Efteling - the Huis de Vijf Zintuigen building is incredible and is made better as it opens out onto Fata Morgana across the lake.
Disneyland Paris - essentially same reasons as you gave above for Magic Kingdom.
Worst:
Chessington World of Adventures - I don't dislike the...
Yes, frequently, because it takes a while to update things. If loads of people join a 45 min queue at one time, then the time won't update until a bit later.
I don't mind short bursts of it. I can easily tolerate rides like Expedition Everest, Revenge of the Mummy and Th13teen.
However, larger sections make me feel rough. EuroMir at Europa Park I did not enjoy, and even Vekoma Junior boomerangs start to make me feel a bit dodgy, but I'd still ride...
My friend's dog was taken on a walk by someone who worked for the park.
I asked them and apparently upcoming Infinity coaster is called "Ruff Bark Bark".
No word on which parks it's going to.
Don't apologise for the polls, I love them!
Stealth for me as it's a great rush and it's the fastest launch I've done. Oblivion though is great. I love the build up and the drop is fantastic.
There's also a difference between the enthusiast reception to B&M Hypers and that of the GP. It does seem that the GP reception to then is very favourable.
Of the 4 dive coastersive done, despite being the shortest drop I found the build up to Baron's drop the most exciting, which in turn made it my favourite.
I am OK with brief bursts positive Gs but not a fan of long sustained G forces. I think Nemesis is around my limit, as I can ride it once and find myself a bit queasy after, but not to an extent that lasts beyond 30 mins or so.
Manta made me feel dreadful!
I much prefer airtime.
I've only done Efteling, so this is a short list:
1. Baron 1898 (track of Joris is better than Baron, but Baron is a better whole experience)
2. Joris en de Draak Vuur (both Joris coasters are top 10 for me)
3. Joris en de Draak Water
4. De Vliegender Hollander
5. Bob (RIP)
6. Vogel Rok
7...
Agree with much of what you've just said MouseAT. The truth is that the hardware just isnt good either. There's a lot of technical parts for what is essentially just VR, which at it's core is just not that fun or exciting.
Also could not agree more...disco X was the best X.
