    Rank the RMCs

Some of the comments I made about these probably don’t hold out anymore with a new batch of RMCs e.g. Goliath probably doesn’t have my favourite RMC airtime hill anymore. But anyway, onto the updated rankings: 1. Twisted Timbers - OMG it’s god-near perfect! There is so much ridiculous airtime...

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

Try and ride it at night some time, that’s when it really comes alive! (Though admittedly I was fan during the day too). Done all the major new coasters on my America trip now (just Lake Winnie is left) so I can finally post some updated rankings: 1. Intimidator 305, Kings Dominion 2. X2, Six...

    Rank the GCIs

    1. Troy, Toverland (still the best one <3) 2. Gold Striker, California’s Great America 3. Thunderhead, Dollywood 4. Joris en de Draak, Efteling 5. Apocalypse, Six Flags Magic Mountain 6. El Toro, Freizeitpark Plohn 7. Heidi, Plopsaland de Panne 8. White Lightning, FunSpot Orlando 9. Wodan...

    Rank the B&M Hyper coasters

I’ve done all the ones in North America and Europe now. I’m including the Gigas since they’re included in the same model and have just as much similarity in experience to the standard B&M Hyper as Raging Bull imo. All these coasters rank in my top 100 except for number 13. 1. Shambhala...

    Rank your Ridden B&M Inverts

I love B&M Inverts and there’s just so many of them <3. 1. Black Mamba, Phantasialand - It’s perfect! I even love the “snaking” ending. 2. Katun, Mirabilandia - The forces are insane, and that first drop is way too good for an invert. 3. Monster, Parc Walygator - Very intense again, lots of...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

The front row of B&M floorless coasters are rarely the best places on the train to sit. They may have the view and extra freedom room for legs, but they tend to provide a considerably less forceful ride experience, and I think are probably one of the reason these coasters have a reputation for...

    seaworld san diego trip report!!

I think SeaWorld San Diego is actually a pretty nice park yeah, despite the confusing layout hah. Glad you enjoyed the new SRII, it seems like a good fit for this particular park. Shame you found a rattle on Manta, though at least you found a seat you could enjoy it in, it’s fab <3 I re-rode it...

South East Creds - Part 3: A Six Flags Day

Dollywood sounds like an amazing park, and Silver Dollar City is already one of my absolute favourites, so I’m very glad to hear your positive thoughts. It’s the last major park on my trip and I can’t wait to spend two days there <3 Also, definitely think about those photography classes :)

    Rank the Mack Launch coasters

Love these coasters, always emphasise the fun factor. One is clearly top dog though... 1. Helix - The standout. The best in pretty much every way I’d say. 2. Blue Fire - A fun, floaty and beautifully flowing layout. 3. Icon (very close to BF) - Very substantial and better forces than expected...

2018 US trip down “south” (Part Four: Busch Gardens Williamsburg + Go-Karts Plus)

All the reviews from people who’ve ridden Twisted Cyclone that I’ve seen have been very positive, but I also understand what Jarrett means. It could be that it’s just opened and obviously Steel Vengeance has already stolen the spotlight (what a bastard! ;)). Or it also could be that because the...

South East Creds - Part 3: A Six Flags Day

Urgh, forgot to mention this in my report. It was disgusting! Shame you didn’t get to spend longer at the park and had to deal with their burdenous locker system. I can imagine how annoying it is. Interesting to see which coasters we agree on (most of them I think tbh) and which we have...

2018 US trip down “south” (Part Four: Busch Gardens Williamsburg + Go-Karts Plus)

It’s been a while since I’ve done a trip report (or much at all) on here, but at the moment I’m feeling extremely enthusiastic about all things park-related so I thought I might get down to one of these reports as it’s a pretty exciting trip. Haven’t done the southern-east part of the US yet...

South East Creds - Part 3: A Six Flags Day

We’re going on a Sunday and Monday I think. But Sunday’s don’t generally seem too bad at parks in the US, so I’m not too worried. I only hope I’ll be able to get some back row rides on Afterburn because back row is a ‘must’ on inverts for me.

South East Creds - Part 3: A Six Flags Day

I’ll also be visiting Carowinds for the first time soon! I’ll probably read your report again closer to the time to hype me up The supporting coaster selection doesn’t seem great yeah (apart from maybe Nighthawk), but at least the big three B&Ms look great! I hope there isn’t too much seat...

    Liseberg | Valkyria | B&M Dive Coaster

^Well, I guess it bothers some and others not. I was definitely much more restricted on Valravn than on any other dive machine, and by the end I found the restraints uncomfortably tight. To me, the old ones are always more comfortable, whether I'm upside-down or not. I get they're not padded so...

    Liseberg | Valkyria | B&M Dive Coaster

I really didn't like the use of B&M vest restraints on Valravn. I mean, I don't really like them full stop (apart from on Swarm where they seem be fine for some reason), but I found them particularly detracting on a Dive Machine. I love how with old restraints you get blissful floater all the...

If they RMCed a coaster you liked...

RMCs are probably always gonna be better than the original, even if the original was a decent woodie. I liked both the original Colossus and Cyclone (SFNE), but their rebirth as an RMC made them both much much better. However, I'd be skeptical on taking something like The Voyage (admittedly, I...

    What parks 'compliment' each other?

I think Six Flags Magic Mountain and Disneyland California. One is a great theme park complex with a good variety of quality themed rides and experiences; the other, a roller coaster mecca with a staggeringly good selection of thrills. I like that this post answers the topic title too.
