From what I've read, everything else in Galaxy's Edge will be open and ready. I'll be there at the beginning of December so hopefully Rise of the Resistance will be open. I'll let you know @Lofty how it is. ;)
Lightning Rod is a great coaster. It's incredibly fast and that quad (quint?) down is amazing and takes your breath away but it couldn't top SV when I rode it a month later. SV dethroned Millie as my favorite coaster as well.
That all being said, I am SO excited for this ride. I haven't been to...
I am SO excited for this. Even though I was sure it would open before I'm down there in December there was a small part of me concerned for any possible delays but now my concerns have vanished! YAY!
Now if Disney can get Galaxy's Edge open by December 1 that would be FANTASTIC.
Very interesting take on that statement. I guess I'm just being greedy when I want to see CP continue to add new coasters while maintaining all the other ones. I know it's not feasible in the long term but I can dream.
One other interesting thing about that presentation was the breakdown slide...
The slide on Long-Term Strategy Fundamentals was interesting... in particular this statement " Existing inventory of thrill rides allows for spacing out larger investments over a longer period of time"
I wonder how many years they are going to go between large investments in parks. I know...
When is your birthday? I wanted to go for my birthday (April 29) but now that it's opening the weekend after I'm looking to go hit up Six Flags Over Georgia for the first time.
Couldn't agree more. It's ridiculous that they are building that many house right next to a theme park. I really like SFMM and hope this doesn't interfere with future investment.
I haven't been to Kings Island is a very long time but from what I can remember I would rather see Vortex go than The Beast.
#KingsIslandgigahypetrain2020
I would absolutely LOVE for that revamp of the Kiddie Kingdom to happen (I believe the video was posted in this thread) but I don't think there will be a new coaster. It doesn't seem to be in the plans, which is fine with me. Only time will tell but based on what Tony has been talking about it...
But did you ride Voyage at night? From what I hear it's a great ride then, specifically during a New Moon, if I remember correctly from a Drunk Riders podcast. :emoji_wink:
Let's say Kings Island is building a Giga in 2020... do the financials of Cedar Fair allow for a huge coaster at both CP and Kings Island? I'm just wondering if we are getting on the 150th anniversary hype train when CP may have plans for a bigger coaster in a few years instead of 2020 for.
