If anyone had said a couple years ago, heck even six months ago, that the first B&M launched coaster would be a Wing Coaster and that it would go in at Holiday World, they would have been ridiculed on the same level as the Maverick/Aquatrax rumor.

I hadn't heard about that one, but having been in the US Navy for 20 years and seeing the USS Vincennes across the pier for many of those 20, we certainly talked about that one quite a bit.

As horrible as this is, I'm just glad that now the US isn't the only country to have shot down a civilian airliner. Since the Ukrainian rebels don't have pilots, it makes no sense that this would have been the Ukrainian government... Which leaves either the rebels or the Russians themselves...

2000. Katun at Mirabilandia was open, but not Family Adventure. I remember e-mailing Duane to give him the name of the park and list of coasters because none of it was in the DB. It was one of the first time I ever contacted him.

I actually found that park before it was on RCDB by taking a different route back from Mirabilandia to where I lived in Formia... Talk about surprises, finding a park with 4 coasters that 'nobody' knew about. I didn't even have a real digital camera yet, either.
