    Best Film Soundtracks

Oh yeah, forgot about this. So, last post was filled with some random songs from some soundtracks that really stuck with me, and here are some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lUgqeO1ZxM Continuing the Clint Mansell (Requiem, The Fountain, Moon, Black Swan) love. Thomas Newman has made...

Most Promising Manufacturers for the Future

I'm thinking Gravity Group are on to a winner with their Timberliners. They've iterated and improved the wooden coaster idea so that whole new experiences can be had, and into parks that considered wooden coasters too big to put in. Granted, I've yet to ride one, so they might be absolute bollocks.

    Best Film Soundtracks

Now here's a topic I could write an essay for. EDIT: I actually did. Epic, spammy post follows. Ollie: I'm a huge fan of John Powell, the Chicken Run composer. He's sort of a companion to Michael Giacchino (also a huge fan) insomuch that he loves using huge, brassy ensembles coupled with very...

    48÷2(9+3)=

A lovely mathematicky Youtuber by the name of Vihart shares a few thoughts on the matter. Linked, because the YT tags don't do starting at anything but 00:00 on a video. TL;DW: Poorly formed statement, not really worth worrying about.

Defunct rides that you missed the most

Jake's Mine at Oakwood. Greatest worst dark ride ever. Depresses me every time I go on Brer Rabbit.

    "Pass the Duchy" Trip Reports

^ Two tidbits for you. The show we saw in Efteling used the Jonathan Creek theme (Or Danse Macabre by Saint-Saëns) for a reason. Also, the reason there was no fog the second time around in the Flying Dutchman was because the light on our boat wasn't bloody working :c The fog was there, we just...

The YouTube/Vine Thread [Post all vids in here!]

Re: The YouTube Thread [Post all vids in here!] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiYMLWg3lss Trailer for NBC's Awake starring Jason Isaacs. Was linked to it yesterday, and I'm, now really excited to watch it. Looks like a worthy companion to Breaking Bad, which is probably my favourite thing on...

    "Pass the Duchy" Trip Reports

I'd rather not reiterate what's been said, because all of the park-wise stuff has already been told better than I could have. So instead, I'll just run through some of the stuff that made me laugh - which I think it's fair to say would be the majority of the trip. -Starting the trip off in THE...

    The Games we play...

I've not been doing much recently other than playing Portal 2. It's been a long time since I've not slept in order to play a game. If you weren't aware - the marketing campaign featured an indie game pack being released on Steam about 2 weeks ago. The pack had 13 games, all slightly...

    UK Voting System

I'm quite a fan of this particular video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7tWHJfhiyo Feel free to follow on with the AV video.

    UK Voting System

Yeah, I'm more for AV because it's a better representation of what people think. No more tactical voting ftw :D I'm also pretty against the absurd demagoguery going on with the no side: Can't afford it, eh? Best get on top of all those tax avoiders or something.

NoLimits Coaster News! (Updated DECEMBER 31th 2013!!!)

Only just noticed, but I wondered why the third picture along looked weird -- it's a DM with a 7(+) car train.

    After Dark returns to Oakwood!

...if only for 2 days a week. Oakwood just responded to a comment on their Facebook wall with: I asked them further on the Twitters as to whether the fireworks would be returning, and whether they could spill the beans on anything else :P Link! So, for those of you (me now included...

    "Now Showing"

So, Submarine. What is it with new directors these days? They're putting some of the more matured folk to shame! Really superb stuff. A crackling script with some properly good laughs, brilliantly acted by everyone. It seems to have gone through the Indie Comedy Flick genre and come out...

    "Now Showing"

A nice little short film for y'all (12 minutes long). Going to go see Submarine either tomorrow or Wednesday, too. A trailer for those who want to know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IVFfiv6wpY Excellent. It's doing really well critically too. It's got a lovely 100% on Rotten Tomatoes...
