SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

Wasn't there once talk/rumor of a coaster going over or using the Roaring Rapids space? I have a feeling they're saving that old Deja Vu space + maybe more for a future expansion. Who's to say there won't be more in that area down the road? Oh, and GIB? What's that acronym for? I thought I...

Seaworld San Diego | Tidal Twister | Skyline Skywarp Horizon

I do like how the seats lower down like a Bayren Kurve. In fact, the entire ride set up reminds me of a Bayren Kurve with an inversion. While I'm pretty sure the execution is not going to be great, and I do agree the restraints look like a hot mess, I do at least appreciate the design of this...

Seaworld San Diego | Tidal Twister | Skyline Skywarp Horizon

This was not built with coaster enthusiasts in mind. I can imagine the number of bona fide coaster enthusiasts visiting Sea World San Diego is not a big number. This was built for families with tweens who are looking for something more intense than Manta, but less than Electric Eel. On that...

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

Seconding that they've been on for about a year already. But at least so far, it's only on one train.

Secret Life of Pets Ride Announcement USH

I did, and recently. It was fine. Not great, not terrible. But I do think this concept will work as a dark ride because, well... pets are relatable. You don't have to see the movie to get that. So in that sense, it's going to be timeless if they do it right. Besides, the Waterworld stunt...

Secret Life of Pets Ride Announcement USH

Rumor is an actual dark ride. With actual animitronics, very minimal on the screens. It was apparently intended to be trackless, but I'm pretty sure that didn't end up happening. It seems to be a toss up between a "traditional" dark ride vehicle or an omnimover type system.

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

I don't know if it was intended or not, but fact is FT couldn't run 3 trains if it wanted too. Track is just too darn short. When running two trains, the other is already back before the train in the station has even finished getting people in it. And I can confirm TC was never meant to run 4...

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

It's been raining like crazy for the last few weeks, a relative rarity in SoCal. I'm sure that's put them even further behind schedule, although even I can't fault them for that particular delay.

    Alton Towers Dungeon

I don't know about this installation, but they do incorporate local history into their San Fransisco version.

Seaworld San Diego | Tidal Twister | Skyline Skywarp Horizon

Glad it's done so fast, but based on the reviews I keep hearing about their other model, Harley Quinn at SF Discovery Kingdom (which I'm going to visit in about a month), I don't have my hopes up very high. While I realize it's a different model, the constant reviews that it's rough, noisy...

    Millennium Force vs Steel Vengeance

I haven't yet been on SV, but I've been on many other RMCs. They're a very wild ride, but sometimes they can almost be TOO forceful to the point that they can be a bit painful to ride (especially if marathoning). While I can see the arguments that MF is not particularly forceful and lacks air...

    The Best Dark Ride?

The Disneyland POTC is much better, though I've heard Shanghai's is even more amazing (haven't actually done it, though.) I've also heard incredible things about Mystic Manor and all the dark rides at Elfting, but I haven't been on them either, so I can't rate them yet. Let's also not forget...

    SeaWorld San Diego | Emperor | B&M Dive Coaster | 2022

I live in LA. On a good day, SD is about 3 hours south, and SFMM is about 40 min north. So about a 4 hour separation... not sure where you get 5-6 hours on a good day. With traiffic, that could be true. Even with the distance between them, advertising will hit the entire SoCal market, so...

    SeaWorld San Diego | Emperor | B&M Dive Coaster | 2022

^^Well, there is Hangtime at Knott's. I'd consider that a dive coaster. So now there's technically 2 in SoCal. Which is yet another reason for SFMM to not get one. I am a bit unclear where in the park this'll be located, though.

    SeaWorld San Diego | Emperor | B&M Dive Coaster | 2022

^The article says it's floorless, so... If this is true, it would seem to put the nail in the coffin of SFMM ever getting a dive machine. Not that I really wanted one there anyway, but many seemed to think it was coming.

Rank Your Visited Six Flags Parks

The park began as a completely independently owned and run park simply called "Magic Mountain" for nearly a decade before Six Flags ever bought it. With the exception of Great Escape, I've been to every SF park in the states (so no Mexico or La Ronde yet, either). It's pretty subjective...

    Unsolved Coaster Mysteries

Don't know if I'd have much luck here, but I've always been interested in this "inverted Tobbgan" ride from the Long Beach Pike in California. There's very little information on it out there. RCDB pretty much only says it operated from 1902-1915. Anyone know any more, or have other pics of it?

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

So you won't be in line for it then, right? Why waste your time on something that doesn't bring anything unique to a park. Better to boycott. :) We did all think that TC would be in 2 train operations in a few months, but here we are 3 years later, and it's been running 3 trains for the vast...

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

I think this'll be different, because this time, the dueling doesn't depend on the ride ops or the guests to get the dueling. It's built into the design to sit and wait there until the other train is ready to launch. Now, will you possibly be waiting there for eons? Probably, that's where the...

SFMM | West Coast Racers | Premier Quad Launch Möbius Sky Rocket

When FT first was announced, the enthusiast crowd was majorly disappointed. But as time wore on, it's turned out it's a HUGE hit with the GP. It's the only launched coaster at SFMM, and the GP have responded to it. So building a second, similar one in the back of the park is actually a...
