Kinda crazy to think how RMC has literally taken over the entire industry in a little more then 5 years. Goes to show the genius of Alan Schilke and basically everyone at RMC really.
I do agree we shoud all be at least skeptical on how this will ride. Nonetheless, if Vekoma has chosen to profile F.L.Y's track ANYTHING like Lech coaster, Phantasialand has a winner in their hands. And, if that does not happen, they will still have a worlds-first in their hands, which is always...
I do have to admit I have also come to hate this ride. Slow construction, unnecessary addition to the park, neither family coaster nor full-on thrill ride... It's got everything going against it!
Perhaps all of this speculation is true, but I still believe Baco's inline goes easily over 60mph. There is no way it loses 24mph over two turns and almost no change in elevation. Still irrelevant, but it bothers me that Six Flags is taking the record in such a disrespectful manner.
I still don't get why they are claiming the title. Sure, you don't take Furius Baco's roll at 84mph, but I'm certain you take it much faster than 60. It amazes me how no one is recogniging that.
Shambhala's amperstand is great because you get nice laterals in the way in and oud and some decent """hangtime""" on the top part. At least it's better than most generic turnarounds.
Those two hills in that last photo really remind me of the late double-up from SV. Excellent construction speed by Energylandia and the guys from RMC, truly remarkable job.
Thanks for the POV, @Pear. Camera still mounted a bit weird -hence the sakyness- but it's obvious the pacing is much better now than on those first test runs. I feel like this is one of the better DMs, wish it was something else, but oh well.
