Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
There's not going to be fountains over the launches. Also, green and orange is not necessarily the colour scheme of the ride. Those colours were chosen by Mack to make the coaster stand out on promotional videos.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Big Dipper has a sufficient automatic blocking system, this was installed a few years ago. Nickelodeon Streak and Blue Flyer only run a one train service making them perfectly safe even if there's a problem regarding braking. The park have looked in...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Wild Mouse is going nowhere, I am happy to confirm.
It's recieving new magnetic brakes this off season. This is a precaution in case a brakes operator has a heart attack or other similar incident that hinders their ability to safely stop a car.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Not an Air Race but as with all plans on a drawing board, it's very far from any kind of confirmation. It probably won't come to fruition but if Project 2018 is successful it will be a logical follow up attraction.
This month promises to be...

To end this right here, right now:

Yes. The layout features a lot of moments where it crosses over and passes through existing attractions. An early part of the ride features major ejector airtime immediately followed by potentially one of the best head choppers of all time.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Some updates:
Ground testing is ongoing around the Go-Karts area.
The area behind the Turtle Chase site has been completed excavated, leaving the walls of the Pleasure Beach Express tunnel exposed.
Clearer view.
The fibreglass turtles have...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
The layout has been designed to maximise the amount of low-to-ground manoeuvres. This reduces the overall cost whilst also increasing the riders' sense of speed. There are a couple of high elements but they aren't the main point of this ride. Quick...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
It will hopefully become a new classic. Building one of the most exciting rides in the world is the intention. Other UK coasters also opening in 2018 won't draw coaster enthusiasts from around the world, so hopefully Project 2018 will.
Liseberg have confirmed to a group of individuals on a behind-the-scenes tour that they are looking at installing a new rollercoaster for 2018. The Swedish park are considering either a B&M Invert or some kind of coaster from RMC. The location for the new attraction will be next to Balder on the...
